Lol. Some guy made an account called "marcan42" went on and changed some pages so that the Letterbomb-pride picture is now the non-gay version and made most the entire wiki use that instead.

It's worth noting that only thing that uses the current gay version (done by a random user who couldn't even do it right lol) of note is some alternate language versions of the letterbomb article, a random template page, the hackmii installer article, which could be erased with a couple more edits.

Pardon the tangent, but is that dtolnay fellow involved (or central) to any lolcow drama? I mostly know the name from using serde, thiserror and anyhow; never caught a whiff of tomfuckery orbiting him, and it'd probably be the last nail in the coffin for me w/ regards to the Rust """community""" if he was lolcow material.

The wiki janny was too retarded to figure out that he could lock both Letterbomb.png AND Letterbomb-pride.png but instead just decided to delete the template all together. Also what's the connotation here with adding the pride flag to a logo that's a bomb in a letter? That they're going to send mail bombs to LGBTQIAPBBQ2S+ homes? Someone should call the FBI, I think Hector Martin is a right wing extremist plotting a terrorist attack.

as far as i can tell, no. like you said, he is responsible for many widely used crates, which i imagine these troons are jealous of etc so they create this drama around him. they have insinuated that he’s some kind of master manipulator/jerk in private rust project chats, but it is literally all hearsay. also he used to? does? work at palantir which is obviously a big no-no to them.

Why aren't the Japanese and American governments investigating the "literal murder" of an American citizen in Japan to which Hector reported information to the authorities that did not make it to the American State Department? Why has there been no reporting on this incredibly unique event, an American murdered in Japan with no witnesses? Why is the only source for this a coworker of the "literally murdered" American citizen? Why has Hector been spreading disinformation for years that this murder was a suicide?

He actually never said that he talked on the phone, but it's understandable because he's a mush mouthed wetback who can't properly articulate his lies.

His story has always been that he talked to the police, somehow, and he initially didn't specify the mode of communication. Most people assumed that he meant on the phone, but only later did he say he physically went down to the police station and gave an interview.

I'm guessing he picked the "physically went down to the police station" lie so he would have an excuse for not providing receipts of a phone call.

I’m still not absolutely convinced that Ginder didn’t die in 2019 or that byuu was in fact Ginder, but on the balance of probabilities it seems that Ginder is alive and was byuu. From a twitter search, Lethalbit’s face reveal (posted three days before the byuuicide) shows bushier eyebrows than Ginder.

I doubt his story, this seems like the prime target to spin lies about and it's also not verifiable by an outside party. This could also just be how HN bans people (they must have gotten his IP from him posting there), and with the tantrums this spic has thrown I sure as hell would want to ban him.

If it's true though, LMAO, and take the hint, Hector. Get the fuck off of Hacker News if it upsets you so much.
