i can picture him just mashing the keyboard absently with one balloon-like paw, letting autosuggest/autocorrect do its job-- all the while his eyes are fixed unblinkingly on the Sports Game on tv and his other hand alternates snow-shovel-sized spoonfuls of chili with gulps of draft beer, both of which end up on his shirtfront. #amfarting

Patrick's juvenile spaceship designs always bugged me too. He likes to throw around buzzwords like 'mil-spec' or 'hard SciFi' then completely disregards decades of real world space habitat designs like O'Neill Cylinders (like at the end of Interstellar) and Stanford Tori (think 2001 or The Martian) in favor of ships that look like they were scratched out on a middle schooler's notebook. A science fiction author should know better.

My (not) brother in Christ, you barely graduated high school, owe(d) $50K+ to a website owner, drink alone at a bar every day, and supposedly "work" selling insurance to geriatric patients.

Meanwhile if college graduate Plugh has any debt, it's student loan debt that he at least accrued by doing something constructive and meaningful...not by suing the internet. His gainful employment will allow him to make consistent payments.

Now that I've seen the hand-drawn ship design, I KNOW he's stealing from Orion's Arm. Looks like he mashed up a Barnard Banger, a Thermonuclear Pulse Drive ship, and an Antimatter Torch Drive ship, and then added rotating sections. It also explains the fucked up radiator fins and "time dilation" with a drive that could not achieve relativistic speed if he's just grabbing parts out of the Lego box and slapping them together.

Edit: On second thought I forgot about his self-insert. There would be enough mass there to fuck with spacetime.

The guy, Roland, that Fat mocks for being a waiter said in his bio that he was doing it for his daughter who is also in his pfp. So not only is he a better man than the pig for actually getting up every day and working, but also for being a loving father present in his daughter's life. Both things that Porque Squealer fails at miserably.

I think he figures the two habitats are separate so they get their own day-night cycle.

Maybe in his head he thought that this would save power since you’re only lighting one at a time, but he didn’t write that in so we don’t know. It’s just stupid since people are adaptable and you can easily provide multiple indicators for citizens as to time of day.

For instance you can wear a watch that shows ship time (the only time that matters) and the face of the watch can show the day cycle you’re in wherever you are on the ship. It’s trivial to do this with a digital watch and a global data network. Your location is already being tracked by your implant so putting up reminders or graphics based on location is easy.

One nice thing about his books is you start thinking about how you’d fix the setting or improve things and it gets the imagination going. Thanks Patrick! If I ever write a story set on a generation ship I’m going to make sure there aren’t multiple time zones.

I don't know about you, but I'd be pretty nervous if I owned an establishment and some guy came in with a laptop that said it killed people in big letters on the back. Pat just oozes sociopathic retard wherever he goes I'm sure.

Can anyone explain to me why he calls himself a conservative? He really seems to be on the left side of everything. Is there anything Pat actually is conservative about? Not to mention he really has that "liberal work ethic", be a useless fuck, living off others money, spend all your time on twitter arguing with people you will never actually meet in real life, ever.

Because he’s always coveted that conservative pundit position. He wants to be the guy who gets to go on tv and say, “I’m a conservative and even I think trump is outta line!” That’s literally it. He’s not conservative about anything. Immigration, social welfare networks, rainbow shit, none of it. He’s recently even been referred to by the pretend podcast host as a caricature of a leftist. He’s conservative in the same way he’s not fat by any medical standard. In the same way that people think he’s a likable guy.
