Well since we may not get a thread for him, I might as well ask here: Can anyone explain the context behind this? Even Colin himself seems surprised about this.
For those unaware, GB News is a rare news channel in the UK that actually leans right, to the extent that they actually voice the general public's opposition to illegal immigrants, eco worriers, and - yes - trannies.
They invite token lefties onto panel discussions, in much the same way that the BBC has the occasional Tory or Brexiteer, to make them look like they are in the minority for their views. So I'm not surprised some activist journalist like Amy Nickell would make it onto the show. She probably felt like a bit of a rebel for praising a trans woman in enemy territory.
That part that I find surprising is that Katy Montgomerie would be this person's go-to favourite. Even though journalists are terminally online and watch people like Katy all the time, it is almost unheard of for them to shout out random Internet celebs during a grown-up media appearance.
Does Katy have a claim to fame outside of being a second-rate youtuber and Current Thing enjoyer? I just don't see it.

He sucks so goddam much. It's hard to believe that an actual women would want so desperately to attend an event full of other women that didn't want them there. This sadistic desire to violate other people's boundaries is just so stereotypically male. I think part of the appeal of trooning out to people like this is that they get to engage in toxic male behavior without being called out for it because they aren't technically "men" anymore.

It's probably cause of Twitter, brits seem to take Twitter more seriously than muricans. In murica Twitter is bipartisan and largely inconsequential when it comes to government politics cause the government and media are almost one and the same, which is why you usually won't see fox or MSNBC cover Twitter extensively cause they're more concerned with larger issues like grandpa Joe's shenanigans. Brits meanwhile seem to take Twitter very seriously since the disconnect between government and media is larger than it is in the states and the media wing almost exclusively get their material from Twitter including the BBC sometimes. So for the news Colin's tweets like Gaimans tweets or any other far left troon gimmick account tweets like juniperperson or somebody would serve as a primary base for information to cover.

They are, ironically, the worst strain of men - the entitled creep. All this behavior does prove how male they are and they are constantly doubling down on it.
Normal men do not behave like this, they do not go where they know they are not wanted. Entitled creepy men do this.
Anyway....
Somehow this true and honest woman doesn't know the difference between hunger pangs and period pain which is strange as they don't feel anything alike and the pains take place in different parts of the body. Strange that.

Plus, she makes disco/dance music that apparently appeals to a lot to gay and 'queer' people and some of those types are now angry about a cishet terf appropriating queer culture.

46 yo MTF. 4 mo HRT. 60 days out. Unexpected Medical Provider Gender Euphoria.
I grew up in a very pro-medical family (until, later in my life, when my mother—who used to manage a hospital—decided to become an antivaxer), so I’ve spent a lot of my life around medical folks all my life.
For the last 5 years, I’ve seen a very kind male doctor and he’s been very understanding and generally supportive of my journey, which has been cool and helpful. (The fact that he actually listens rather than assumes is part of why I made him my primary five years ago.)
With that said, after my transition I didn’t get the feeling that he was super up to speed on things that could add complications to a trans person’s journey; that it’s not just about acceptance, but that I need proactive thinking ahead about how things could interact with one another. (This is why a lot of trans folks transfer to a trans specific PCP, if possible. While I have a trans specific doctor in my area, he’s so backed up that I can generally see him only once a year or so. For my HRT, I use Plume.)
Recently, I’ve been struggling with a very problematic UTI and my primary doctor gave me the basic round of antibiotics, but it flared up a few days after I completed them. (Fun fact: 85% of people with UTI’s are female! I can’t count the number I’ve had over my life, even when I was trying to be male! Maybe life was trying to tell me something!)
Since my regular doctor is usually pretty booked up, they assigned me to a female doctor that was free. (I’ve always loved the idea of having female doctors, but, aside from the best doctor I’ve ever had—who relocated to another state—my experience has actually been really hit or miss with them, especially after transition.)
When this doctor came in, I was almost literally knocked on my ass. She didn’t know me from Eve and I can’t legally change the name on my medical record because I’m still in process of legal name change, so my preferred name is kind of buried in my file, but she came in calling me by my preferred name, showed that she’d really familiarized herself with my chart, and already had some thoughts—some of which explicitly dealt with both my feminine bio-history and remaining masculine physique.
She didn’t push anything, but showed active empathy, revealed through her words that she wasn’t just an ally but proactively educating herself about stuff related to trans folks, and really listened when I was talking. Her curiosity about people was palpable, without ever being invasive or unprofessional.
She walked me through the most common possibilities, including how UTI’s for folks who are trans MtF can actually become infections in the prostate that take an additional week of antibiotics to clear up. When she called in the scrips I’d need, she made sure to get the correct length of antibiotics, as well as prescription strength version of Azo so I could get back to living my life sooner. (And, unlike sometimes in the past from other doctors, the scrip was called in right away.)
I felt unbelievably cared for in a way that I couldn’t explain and I realized this was a doctor I would feel comfortable sharing a lot more personal details with about my journey than I could’ve previously imagined with a medical professional.
After that, I called my wife to tell her that, for the next part of my journey, this will be the doctor I will request to be my PCP. (Hopefully she’s not slammed all the time with this being a rare exception when she had availability.)
Just thought I would share that and see if anyone else has any surprise gender euphoria doctor’s accounts from unexpected places!

Dear God. I mentioned this elsewhere but there's a horrible rabbit hole on YouTube I went down many years ago (around 15) about this "masking" fetish. Creepy as fuck, literal skin walking. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of these "TransLater" troons were/are into that. It's a twisted sibling of Cross dressing/transvestites.
