Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

Even owning a tiger is safer than owning a pitbull. A tiger won't attack you so long as you don't run and you feed it. A tiger is predictable. A venomous snake is predictable. A pitbull is not.
Tell Roy of Siegfried & Roy that. They're wild animals and are dangerous even to experts. That said you're right it's probably safer to own a tiger or a venomous snake than a shitbull.

would house or car keys not work if you lack a gun or knife?

Pits have been breed to have little to no response to pain. These animals are so driven to kill that they will ignore any self-preservation instincts while attacking.

Keys are not going to do jack and a knife might partially work if it is used against a vital organ. The thing that is terrifying about this breed of dogs is their tenacity to kill once they go off. The only actions that I've ever seen working against pitbulls to make them stop is severe head trauma or asphyxiation. A piece of brick, a rock from the side of the road or anything with heft to bash the skull of these things is going to work. As for choking them, if you wear a belt it could be used to noose it around the neck and squeeze it. If not that, maybe long shoelaces.

I'm not going to pretend that any of these options are ideal. The best would be a gun but most people who don't live in the US are allowed to own one. Most importantly, do not to panic. Lots of people screaming, pulling at the dog, punching and kicking only make things worse, The pit gets more excited and the attack becomes worse.

Not only do they think this demonic "smiling" and growling is totes adorbs, they also think eating doors, destroying couches, and pissing and shitting everywhere is a completely normal feature of dog ownership and so cute.

Codependency and "separation anxiety" is so cute!!!

A pitbull was gutted by a boar and the pitbull was still running around like nothing was wrong. It was attacking itself at first until its intestines were freed from the boar's tusks. Intestines were dragging all in the dirt. No pain response like a normal dog. It went back for a second round. NORMAL DOGS DO NOT DO THIS, THEY RETREAT IMMEDIATELY. https://www.reddit.com/r/pitbullhat...phic_nsfw_pitbull_mindlessly_charges_hog_and/

The only thing that can stop a pitbull is to kill it.

I have seen in a few videos where a cop does a mag dump or some rando does a mag dump on the shitbull.

And the shitbull somehow survives.

I can tell you that any dog coming onto my property unattended and acting aggressively would find itself at risk of a hot copper and lead injection. Especially if it somehow got into my backyard.

I have to assume the main reason people adopt pitbulls is a misguided attempt at trying to fix a dog breed they think is bad off. Like they have a savior complex. It sure isn't because they are cute these are some of the ugliest fucking dogs I've ever seen. Just demonic looking.

Isn't smiling a form of aggression in a lot of non-human animals?

i fucking hate these creatures so much. at work i was having a nice chat with an older co-worker. i showed him a photo of my aquarium, and other photos of my fish. he whips out his phone and shows me his two disgusting shitbulls and made a joke about how they would probably eat my fish.

i love small animals and have had guinea pigs/rabbits before. so i've dealt with the occasional shitty joke of "haha i would eat your pet" and ive never found it anything more than eyeroll worthy. this time it was just an uncomfortable fact, not a joke.

An 11-year-old boy was attacked by his aunt’s therapy dog inside her downtown Manhattan apartment Tuesday afternoon, according to cops and the victim’s family.

The boy was left seriously injured with wounds to his face, eye, head and arm after the American Bully pit bull mix, named Aries, launched at him around 2:50 p.m. at the Smith Houses, law enforcement sources and police said.

The young victim and his twin brother, who both recently moved into the apartment after their mother died of cancer, were “overwhelming” the dog before the attack, Lopez-Ramos believes.
“So I guess their strength was too much for the dog,”she told reporters outside her apartment. “I’m assuming that that must have been what happened.”

Lopez-Ramos said she was in the bathroom at the time of the attack.
“I just heard my nephew screaming and I came running out of the bathroom and I just had to react quickly to separate them,” she said, noting she also was bitten during the struggle.

The young victim’s twin brother, Julian, said he witnessed the incident and quickly ran away.

Authorities took the animal away in a crate and Lopez-Ramos said she was going to have the dog put down.
Lopez-Ramos claimed the dog never displayed violence before Tuesday’s scary moment and that the pup is actually her therapy dog for mental health.

“I feel a little distraught to be honest because he’s my dog who supports me emotionally,” she said.
“It’s terrifying because I’ve never seen such a thing,” Lopez-Ramos said. “I see it on the news all the time with other kids and other people, but I’ve never seen it in my face.”

“Sorry your mom, my sister btw, died. Aries the Shitbull was here first and I can’t take him in the supermarket unless I call him a therapy dog.”
