All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

Since likely no one read or is going to read the contents of the wikileaks thing, here's the excerpt written by Soros. It looks like they were forwarding the email among eachother.

Below message is from George Soros for the Secretary.

Understand his organization was sending through other channels as well.

Re: Unrest in Albania Rich,

Here's the text of the message.

I'm available to talk at any time.

Thanks, Jonas

Dear Hillary, A serious situation has arisen in Albania which needs urgent attention at senior levels of the US government. You may •know that an opposition demonstration in Tirana on Friday resulted in the deaths of three people and the destruction of UNCLASSIFIED U.S. Department of State Case No. F-2014-20439 Doc No. C05778285 Date: 09/30/2015 property. There are serious concerns about further unrest connected to a counter-demonstration to be organized by the governing party on Wednesday and a follow-up event by the opposition two days later to memorialize the victims. The prospect of tens of thousands of people entering the streets in an already inflamed political environment bodes ill for the return of public order and the country's fragile democratic process. I believe two things need to be done urgently: 1.Bring the full weight of the international community to bear on Prime Minister Berisha and opposition leader Edi Rama to forestall further public demonstrations and to tone down public pronouncements. 2.Appoint a senior European official as a mediator. While I am concerned about the rhetoric being used by both sides, I am particularly worried about the actions of the Prime Minister. There is videotape of National Guard members firing on demonstrators from the roof of the Prime Ministry. The Prosecutor (appointed by the Democratic Party) has issued arrest warrants for the individuals in question. The Prime Minister had previously accused the opposition of intentionally murdering these activists as a provocation. After the tape came out deputies from his party accused the Prosecutor of planning a coup d'etat in collaboration with the opposition, a charge Mr. Berisha repeated today. No arrests have been made as of this writing. The demonstration resulted from opposition protests over the conduct of parliamentary elections in 2009. The political environment has deteriorated ever since and is now approaching levels of 1997, when similar issues caused the country to slide into anarchy and violence. There are signs that Edi Rama's control of his own people is slipping, which may lead to further violence. The US and the EU must work in complete harmony over this, but given Albania's European aspirations the EU must take the lead. That is why I suggest appointing a mediator such as Carl Bildt. Martti Ahtisaari or Miroslav Lajcak, all of whom have strong connections to the Balkans. My foundation in Tirana is monitoring the situation closely and can provide independent analysis of the crisis.

Thank you, George Soros

Okay fine I won't vote for Trump whatever.

Can we go back to making fun of funny things in the election?

This whole "being a bitter cunt that takes this shit seriously" shtick is getting old like Jan's art crap.

The disrespect Trump has shown the Military is amazing.

On a serious note, I have seen long time Republicans, especially military families in my neighborhood putting up Clinton signs in their yard. Any gain he makes with laborers is being quickly lost by suburban Republicans. And the fact people have tried to lecture me about how unpatriotic the Dems have been is fucking laughable.

There does not currently exist a single Islamic country whose values are compatible with ours. Any countries that looked promising in the past have turned to shit (hi Turkey). Gays are imprisoned and tossed off buildings, women are forced to cover themselves up, and Christians, Jews, and atheists are regularly exterminated, and your response is "y-y-you're just afraid of people who are different than you"?

Go hump a cactus please.
Well.. Kuwait, theoretically. Granted, that may be because we saved them from Saddam and they know it.

Am I the only one who thinks Hillary's health problems are a good thing? Hillary defeating the Donald and then dropping dead of a blood clot sounds like the best possible outcome to me.

I think the best outcome would be Trump getting schlonged in all three debates, and the EC and the popular vote. After entering a Twitter chimpout similar to Leslie Jones, and going down in history as the shitty Chinese knockoff of Goldwater.

Then he gets raped and killed in prison and gets grounded for threethousandfivehundrednintyfivedays.

Oh good, I thought I was alone in that. The "neither" option sounds just fine to me, thanks.

Explain to me what is nefarious or shocking about that email. All I'm seeing is a major public figure trying to raise awareness of human rights abuses.
Because (((Soros))) gives money to left wing causes. The email would be uneventful if it was a GOP billionaire like Paul Singer.

Trump's accusations of Hillary and Obama (and a lot of arguments thrown around in general by all sides) remind me of GTA 4's election campaign ads.

And I thought these were jokes...

Turkey has a great record of tossing out despots. This latest coup may have failed, but the more the people are ignored under his rule, the more likely another coup becomes.

He barely missed getting first blown up in his hotel, then blown out of the sky in his private airplane this time, next time he may not be so lucky.

Countries that get along fine with the US that have a Muslim majority:

Jordan
Kuwait
UAE
Bosnia

Note, this list has nothing to do with the country's internal stability, just how they get along with us.

You see, those people you are talking about again? Salafists. The group is huge, they are oppressive, they want you dead. Moderate and progressive Muslims usually do a pretty good job of keeping that cancer at bay within their own countries.

For those of you still saying they are not a threat, well, I have already warned you not to piss on the electric fence, do not be shocked if you see me laughing at you when you chant "this time it will be different!" and do it anyway. I am lucky enough to have a Turkish passport as well as an American one, so I have the luxury of being able to laugh, then leave. You don't.

I refuse to live in fear. If you don't think we are taking this seriously, you mistake us for Germans. Trump's 'strategy' won't curb domestic terror, be they Salafist or some militia man. Anyone who puts stock in anyone to protect them is fooling themselves. I have confidence in our counterterror efforts because they have a pretty impressive track record so far.
Go ahead and act like the herald of doom for Trump. If it comes to the sandscratchers trying to kill us all, remember we have a gun for every man woman and child.

The operative phrase being "within their own country". To use an example I know personally; I came across old documents where I worked regarding the building of a mosque by a Bahraini immigrant. Despite being from one of the few Shiite majority muslim countries in the world, the primary source of funding had (Wahhabi) beside it. I hope that was written to make note of possible undue influence in who the mosque brings in to conduct services, but it isn't really my place to ask about something that was done years ago. I suppose the point of my rambling is that moderate, self-policing muslims generally aren't providing funding for much. Which means they probably won't have much influence to stop this shit in places that most Americans and Europeans have a personal reason to care about.
