I was hoping(?) that the public key was only added recently to indicate that someone was trying to sabotage the project, but nope,
it was added in 2017. I want to defend them, but they fucked up. They should have made the user input their own public key
that totally wasn't pulled off the internet and is being shared by 99% of all other users so they could at least claim plausible deniability. Any chance they could remove that, make users input it themselves, and blacklist that specific key or is it too little too late?
