She could have saved this simply by saying she was honoured to play the character but was 'looking forward to something new and different', the implication would have been subtle enough to get around the contract and nothing negative would need to be said.
But given these reactions....yeah subtlety doesn't appear to be her strong suit.

Because Leslie is pissed that Ghostbusters didn't turn her into the superstar she hoped she would be. That realization she is still a useless excuse for a comedian.

Now all she is good for is endless milk from low-tier trollbait posts.
 
On a side note I find these trolls a little immature.
Not for the "nigger xdd" jokes, that's another discussion. But the fact that they're taking the time out of their days to troll an actress from a movie they don't like.
I myself hate it, I think it was SJW propaganda, award bait and a cash grab, but I'm not gonna torture an actor over it.

As I said earlier: I told her to stop feeding the trolls and she blocked me. She thinks her chimping out is "exposing" the hate or some shit. That's literally like she'd stand in the midst of a bee-swarm, flailing wildly while yelling "IMA BUST YOU BLACK AND YELLOW ASSES!"

I can't fathom this supidity and I can't stress enoug that she's. Still. Going.

That's not true, she has demonstrated excellent fit for any stereotypical loud obnoxious black woman role, canonically assigned to be intelligently inferior to the rest of the characters. She has also demonstrated willingness to take on such a culturally regressive role as long as she is paid to do it.

The future is filled with opportunities for her, as long as she retains her willingness to take money in exchange of perpetuating her own stereotypes.

She is a beautiful person.

I don't understand why people think it's time consuming to shit talk someone over twitter. Here? Sure because we're autistic as fuck but on twitter it's legit easy to post a pic of an ape and make a nigger joke. She's responding to double digits of people by herself and she even seems to be checking out their profiles too. She's putting more effort into it then all the trolls combined.

Meanwhile some guy is seeing these tweets and he's just going to say "NIGGERNIGGERNIGGER #gamergate" and then post a youtube link or picture. Boom. They have just triggered the fuck out of someone who was in 100+ million dollar budget film and gotten retweeted on their throwaway account. Minimal effort and it keeps the celebrity chimp out going. It's no loss to them.
 
I bet this ends up in newspapers and magazines as something like "Ghostbuster star receives barrage of sexist and racist messages!", this movie seems to thrive on controversy in the same way as someone like Anita Sarkeesian does.
