I agree with most of this except I've noticed in Bongland at least in the areas I'm in or pass through, they have taken a sharp disliking to the term "natal woman" so I like using it for that reason alone. I personally think it's because the term "Natal (at the time of birth)" encroaches on the steadily increasing trannies who try to say "akshully I'm BIOLOGICALLY female, I just need a few corrections like how them intersex do." The term 'Natal' reminds them they can't go back in time and even if they could, they still can't change their biological makeup and it bothers them.

"Cis" on the other hand goes hand in hand with the tumblr/twitter people who popularised it and can be derogatorily used as "Cissy" and is something the terminally online have been using to -Otherise for so long that it doesn't attack their biology nearly as much.
I'm not sure if the mounting hate for the word Natal is observed elsewhere though, I'd be curious to know!

I haven't finished it completely (15 mins left), but it makes me laugh that Contrapoints did a whole song and dance denouncing the podcast before it even aired and grovelling to his audience that he was TRICKED into participating or something, when all he contributed was "gender in tumblr culture". Well, he might appear again in a later ep, since supposedly he got asked about "trans rights" (which is NOT allowed!!!). I also never watched a Contrapoints video, I was expecting him to have a more passing voice instead of a typical gay male voice.

I also liked the part where they mentioned something that came up in this thread before - how some people clearly hate her because they have mommy issues and saw her as a mother figure.
 
@Executive Petrel @frap I wish to say it's nice to see both sexes getting defended here and I appreciate it. It's always been good-natured amusement to me this evil nazi hellsite full of killing murderers is actually one of the most actually-diverse and empathetic places for people who aren't themselves I've seen around in my time on the internet. This in contrast to the disturbing hivemind politics and even physical conformity the groups who try to destroy this place have. Uncanny.

Did anyone here bother to watch this new one? I really can't get past the smug Lindsay Ellis style of presentation he has on his videos, plus the fact that the content has zero appeal to me. Judging by the thumbnail, I think the whole point is going to be "J. K. Rowling bad and if you play the wizard game you're bad".
