i’m going to look into this channel further once i get the chance but from what i am aware:

the dude behind the channel has spend the better part of months or years building up a complex, autistically deep lore surrounding canon/fanon characters from various franchises as well as real life people.

this lore primarily surrounds war. large nation-states usually ran by particular characters (for example, gordon ramsey) going to war and killing one another. it gets pretty fucking dark, like you can see with this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_lfMJbLL90
the gordon ramsey state enacts an ethnic cleansing on ‘terrorists’, with footage from arma 3 to go along with it for maximum realism.

gameplay is pretty common in the videos, as well as just basic powerpoint slideshow shit to convey the stories. i’ve identified arma 3 and simpleplanes, along with some other vehicle simulation games im not sure the names of.

he has a following, with 1k subs and consistently breaking ~200 views a video, with a fair deal of engagement on each in the form of comments.

i feel like i’m going to have to take a weekend to get through this dudes page because there is a treasure trove of ass burgers just waiting to be eaten. i’ll keep you all posted and will try and archive the videos the best i can (am on mobile, screenshots are old from when i showed a friend upon discovery)

really fucking gay for some of these "Quality > Quantity" type channels to change their title and thumbnail to look like a new video is out about a subject, only to look at the date below and see that it's still the same video from 5 years ago.
I get this is done to rake in more views/adsense when something in vogue matches up with the topic of the video, but make a new updated version of this video you fucking long-nosed Kike.

Heh, still better than quantity>quality channels like The Infographics Show that just do a 5 minute wack job of research on whatever hot topic of the day and present the popular clickbaity side of it.

For the gun spergs among us: what do you expect from this? Maybe a US/NATO 50bmg rifle, the Soviet/Russian equivalent (maybe even a 14.5mm) and maybe some funny prototypes from the 80s or something or a ww2 anti tank rifle?

Reality: "the russians had some of the best snipers in the world during ww2 and the dragunov has a range of up to 2500 meters"

The dragunov is 7.62 and didn't even exist in ww2 for fucks sake.

This is bad but it's endemic to the platform now. You have channels with actual useful info ran by seemingly decent people that change their title or thumbnail, sometimes both several times if a video isn't immediately doing well enough. If you have to resort to this seo manipulation to do well, when is enough enough? When do you just jump ship? Grey is no longer one of the good edutainers, though. His ego has skyrocketed within the last few years and something just rubs me the wrong way about him.
 
Anyone here heard of Sakura Stardust? Her content is actually pretty good and well made for the most part, but she's a massive pasty white weeb and her insistence on pronouncing everything remotely Japanese with the most grating and often times outright wrong accent gets annoying really fast. Normally I'd gloss right over it, but she even pronounces 2chan as 2CHAWWWN. I dunno, I just found it annoying but maybe there's some deeper autism to be found there.
 
Far from enough material for lolcowdom, but nontheless comes out with some wildly dumb takes, a YouTube reactor named Trixie Blue does reactions to movies and watched Everything Everywhere All At Once. Early on in the movie Michelle Yeoh mentions that in Chinese they don't have gendered pronouns, it's the same for both men and women.

I'm sorry but one of THE most conservative and traditionalist cultures on the planet are "so progressive" because of an artifact of their language. The shallowness of some people's understanding just cracks me up sometimes.

As a Chinese speaker, I call bullshit. There's 3 words that correspond to she/he/it respectively: 她/他/它 They happen to be pronounced the same, however, A LOT of chinese words happen to be pronounced the same.

Thank you! I remember when I watched the movie that seemed odd to me. But I only studied Chinese (Mandarin specifically) for a little bit long ago. The writers of the movie are Western but Michelle Yeoh is in it (reason I watched it, fwiw) and I figured she would have corrected them if it was wrong. Also, the line seems pretty forced because Michelle Yeoh's character speaks English to a reasonable language and it seems unlikely she'd be that good at it yet somehow still struggle with he and she.

Either way, the YouTuber calling the Chinese "wow - so progressive" is hilarious either way. What's the word the Chinese have for White left-wing progressive types? Baizu or something like that? White idiot?

Not Chinese, but Japs got a gaijin (foreigner), because 90% of their western tourists consist of that demographic. For a concrete example, Adam White was in Japan recently and spent his night speedrunning Mario while his roommates were trying to sleep. Glorious thread.

idk sounds like they were trying to force some catchy deep sounding line to me lmao. Most of their audience was gonna be western and not be able to call bullshit anyway
