Ralph once again mistaking common civility for "loving him" because he's a total moron who can't understand social interaction. Most normal humans like babies and will play with them if they are around, unlike the rage pig who doesn't even like to be around his own kid.

Ralph probably thinks the landlord is a big fan and just pops in all the time because he adores Rozy, instead of the fact he's checking up on his property and these shady tenants because he doesn't trust them.

The landlord likes the gringo overpaying for one of his properties for months, he likes Ralph's rent money. He will like Ralph just as much as the landlord in Virginia once he gets a look at how the Ralphs are trashing his property or try to bail without paying the rent.
