Pretty sure the sex ratio of furries (excluding troons of course) is like 66% male. For kigurumis it's like 95%.
Thanks for confirming my suspicions. The animal pjs are pretty cool though. Thats I how I learned about these, whatever they are. Instantly horrified.
Edit: JFC I looked it up. Do not do that. Make sure your safe filter is set. I am going to flush my eyes now.

66% male? Excluding troons, as in not counting them as women? That can’t be right, I thought it was still mostly gay guys.

And just like the furries, kiggers (yes, that's what they call themselves) can be broadly separated into the ones who make no effort to hide their fetishism, and the ones who make lots of effort to.

It’s from a TV show called Tugs. Iirc it was done by the same people who did Thomas the Tank Engine. It was cancelled after one season in like 1990. It probably would’ve been popular if it had aired maybe 20 years earlier.

I know the Tugs community (and there is a community) is full of autists but generally they are like TheNewStoryTeller where they’re too autistic to produce milk.
It was cancelled after 5 seasons, in 1999. Not sure where you're getting this info from.
From trannypedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodore_Tugboat

Believe it or not, there is a whole subculture revolving around what are basically anime-styled human fursuits known as "kigurumi"
Somehow this is even worse than a fursuit.

Looks freaky as fuck, really hits that uncanny valley sourspot.
Might be biased here but even the more uncanny fursuits i've seen around this thread don't give me the sense of unease these things do.
Perhaps these are the fabled skin suits that furries occasionally meme about.

Ehhhh idk. Definitely a lot of pre-FTMs. Going to anime conventions and seeing them without the heads on has me thinking it’s not a total sausage fest. 75% sounds about right to me.

I remember going to fur cons from 2007 to 2010 and seeing very few trannies, and none that I can remember. I did alot of acid at cons, so that might have something to do with that. The tranny invasion must have gained steam after I perma-nope'd out. Quite a few true and honest females actually, about half of attendance. I did get the honor of witnessing Tumbles the Stairs Dragon take his leap of infamy while I was tripping balls.

My fellow American, what part of train autism don’t you understand? Feel free to ask me about Thomas the Tank Engine, even though I’m sure there is a resident expert on the Farms. But Tugs? I just watched half an episode and a 23 minute Podcast about the fate of the models that were used in the show. I am also aware that TheNewStoryTeller rates it highly, but I can’t understand him and his stroke damaged speech.

And the troons I think.
I'm telling you, once the trannies get their hands on kigurumi masks and skinsuits there are going to be twice as many threads in Stinkditch

You've confused two different shows, it seems. The tugboat in the photo posted above is the titular character from the Canadian show Theodore Tugboat, not the (very similar) British Tugs show. There is, apparently, a life-sized tugboat in Halifax converted to look like the character, whence the photo.

"Once they do?" They already have. Probably half the dudes who wear those things are current or future troons of some kind. A few of the Korps Kultists were involved in that shit at some point, if I remember correctly. Couldn't be assed to go through that hell thread to find it though.

Dealer's Den is always entertaining to me because even the normal-looking suits have pretty funny details if you look into them. I found two pretty notable examples recently.

First off, here's an auction for a "Grey and Blue wolf fursuit". Honestly, (by fursuit standards) it looks fine to me, but that's not why I'm mentioning it here.

What REALLY caught my attention was the description:
1676637044464.png

This person point-blank admitted they fucked in the suit, then demands to resell the suit for the exact same amount they originally bought it for. Furry entitlement at its peak :story:

Now, this next one was sort of interesting. It's an auction for a body suit, but with the head crudely ms-painted over.

It struck me as odd as to why the head was covered up. The description clearly states that you're getting just the body suit, and there's also a slightly concerning shot that shows they wore this in public at what appears to be a school.

Anyways, I did a little digging and managed to find (what I'm 99% sure) is the original head:

Is it the worst head I've seen? Not by a long shot. But it's genuinely creepy and I can't believe this person thought it was a good idea to wear it to a public event that had children present.

With the wings and that head, I think it is a bat. That looks like the nose found on several species of bat, colloquially called "leaf nosed bats", to my knowledge all of such are new world species. That ribbing in the ears also reminds me of the way bat ears are shaped, presumably to help focus sound inward.

The shape of the nose, the actual display of so many teeth, pure hatred in that things eyes remind me of the spear-nose bat, a family of bat species that seems to always look angry to me, notable for actually preying on vertebrates, something rare among bats. Though they are they are omnivores that eat mostly fruit, nuts, pollen, and nectar and are important pollinators. Their interactions with humans are pretty chill, ranging from fear and avoidance, to, once used to humans, being friendly and social in captivity.

At least they have the common courtesy to not sell this thing to a minor, though i doubt the thing would fit to begin with lol.
If they knocked the price down by like 1,500 dollars and gave it a thorough deep clean this honestly wouldn't be a half bad find (if you vibe with the design).
The fact they just straight up ask the full price for this thing is really funny to me, when has this ever worked even for non fursuits with the exception of like collectors items.

Holy shit those teeth, horror suit for sure.. i hate how it clashes with the rest of the design since the body suit is pretty decent.
Suppose the solution to this wonderful mess of a design would be to just scrap the head and commission a new one in a similar scheme and a more suitable style.
Interesting find for sure, still don't quite understand the idea behind the original design with this one though.. creepy suit.
At least it's only like 600 bucks though it looks a little worn so that's to be expected.

Weebs will be getting erections over those costumes and nutting themselves.

Horrifying?

So, do real life furries wear these humansuits to humancons?
shows they wore this in public at what appears to be a school.

It looks cute, what's wrong with wearing it around a sch-
