They're definitely someone trying to troll Chris. The advice they've given him and the things they've told him to say and do are way too counter productive for the 'manager,' to be a well intentioned White Knight. You only have to look at some of the pre-written statements he's had to make on video to see tonnes of not so subtle digs to him in the words of the script.
