"This is not a place of honor. No great deeds are commemorated here."
I can't wait for them to realize that growing weed is actually really hard and competing with established, skilled growers with contacts and reputations is even harder. I wonder if they'll refuse to separate the males and the females twice in a row, ruining their crop with seeds.
This is all really hard and more importantly, the equipment to do it well is expensive. I've lost a crop because I went out of town for the weekend and had a pump fail and the plants didn't get enough water. I've had crops that were two weeks from harvest go from healthy as can be to covered in spider mites over night. Growing weed is not something to take lightly and it's incredibly competitive. They're in Colorado, too. They have good ass pot in Colorado and a surplus of growers. If they were in an illegal state they could get away with a lot more incompetence because they're absorbing a lot more risk but in Colorado the dispensaries have their pick of some of the best pot in the country.
This is an issue because you're trying to grow a quality product and (I assume based on the mention of a pump) are using advanced growing techniques to force the plants.
The Tranch aren't going to do that. They'll sprout some cannabis seeds in potting compost and throw them in the garden.
Something will grow, in the same way that if you throw carrot or radish seeds in the soil, something will grow. Jarrod will probably manage to do some weeding and they'll probably unthinkingly spritz the plants with pesticide. Whatever grows will technically be smokeable but will be terrible. The Tranch will show off on social media regardless.
You're correct in that absolutely nobody with any sense would pay for that crap, but we're not dealing with people who have any sense. They might even go the Keffals route and send the weed out to people in states where it's illegal, because you know the terminally online troons who throw money at them either are unable to find a dealer because their only connection to the outside world is Deliveroo, or they get social anxiety picking up from their dealer and would rather have something posted to them.
I imagine it'll be like the yarn. They'll get a bunch of first time customers because trans rights, but zero repeat customers.
I was just thinking this. It's gonna be migendering in that household 24/7, also imagine having the fresh horror every day of relearning 'my son is wearing a dress and keeps two ugly eunuchs with collars in the basement'.
I give it like, a month before Kevin's tweeting nonstop about how Anahid is an evil bigoted terfnazi because she thinks all three of them are freaks.
Even the most accepting parents in the world would struggle with 'my midlife crisis son has abandoned his family, is larping as a woman, and is in a threesome gay relationship with two other wierdos'. When you move these people in with said parents, add that all three are raving misogynists according to both common sense and multiple firsthand sources, and consider their standard of living involves leaving standing cat piss on the carpet... add Alzheimer's to the mix and this will turn into Chrischan-level horror in no time.
I fully expect that those poor parents are gonna die within three-ish years max, either by the the stress and tension of the situation at their age, or by something darker if they get told to gtfo and KevKev or Penny decide that desperation and greed trump family.
I feel terrible for Penny's parents. At least Penny isn't their only child and he gave them grandkids before turning into this, so they must have had some good years a while ago.
I'm genuinely fearful that there is going to be elder abuse. The bmoment Penny (and by extension, Kevin) is told no, there will be no compromise, the parents will be told what's going to happen. Jarrod (if he's coming with) and Jen are also very unstable and quick to anger. I can't imagine Penny's parents would be happy with them growing weed, for example.
It's actually making me feel a bit sick thinking about it.
@Humbert Humbert It's gotta be true to the vision, man.
I've heard it's possible to feed a more powerful, usually pay-walled, art AI specific lolcow images... but I'm not sure how close to the desired mark it'd get without some poor sap feeding it
tons of images of (for thread relevancy) the troonicorns' ugly mugs or the more nsfl images to better hone the AIs end product.
- Freebie AIs are smart, but they still need to be informed of what a specific Kevin and his butternut noggin looks like so to speak. Otherwise you'll get a squash on a hairless orangutan bod.
From my limited understanding of image generative AI, the expense comes from someone else refining the AI, hosting it on servers and making it easier to use.
You can get Stable Diffusion for free, and if you've got a powerful enough rig you can run it locally (alternatively I think there's like a free Google Server option). Kevin's gaming computer can probably run it, it just needs an actual graphic card with about 8GB of VRAM.
If you've got the AI up and running on your computer, apparently it's not that much more difficult to train it on a "model" or "prompt". You just need patience and a bunch of reference images to train it on. That Lensa app everyone was using a few months ago is essentially an idiot proof front end - you upload a bunch of photos of yourself, and it trains the model and feeds it with a variety of prompts to get different styles. There's an AI art thread on the farms, I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't already trained it on Chris-Chan's drawings.
