This is crazy, no one is talking about this but if the Democrats are pro banning menthol cigarettes I think this may literally be the opening that the GOP needs to get the blacks to vote for them.. I cant think of a single law that would disproportionately affect the black community like a ban on menthols will.
 
Just make a commercial with a black guy working in a field, bitching about how Democrat Senator So-and-So banned menthols, "so now I'm back in the tobacco fields, growing my own!! AGAIN!!!"

It won't pass and they've been agitating for this for like a decade now because it might marginally drop cancer rates and half of them are pretty myopic about that.

It's not a bill, it's a FDA regulation that was already announced last spring, it just hasn't gone through the final stage of approval. Biden could still block it but it's unlikely.

A number of states, most notably California, have already done a state wide ban on any flavored tobacco in the last year too.

I don't live in a state where this will be a thing and I sort of view it as the same crazy stupid shit as the current gas stove "ban" narrative.
I don't like leftists but often I don't like the right either.
