Speaking of patronizing, I found this guy some time ago, and this whole time he is so smug with an attitude of "I know better than you". I find it both telling and humorous that this guy thinks he is so smart while at the same time misspells "Fascism" on the whiteboard while also claiming that Communism was created by the Catholic Church (anyone who really knows anything about Communism will tell you that Communism hates all religion):


This guy has multiple other videos where he claims the Catholic Church is really pulling the strings behind every world event and other videos where he rants about how much he hates interracial marriage. One other example of his condescending smugness is the video below, where he rants about people who play video games, like take one look at the hateful look in this man's eyes and try telling me this video was made with benevolent intentions:


So this whole video, he uses an 1828 definition for "gaming" (which is really about gambling in that time), and he uses name calling and "I'm bigger than you, so shut up" as a real argument like a third grader, even going so far as to tell "little thirty-year-olds" that "be quiet, an older man is speaking". Funnily enough, he contradicts his entire argument at the end by claiming that people who play vidya (who he claims are in sin) can still get into Heaven when the Rapture happens, which really just goes to show the subtext of this whole tirade is he thinks he's better than other people. Like this isn't even a teaching/sermon or a "study" as he calls it; this is just mocking people you don't like.

Well, I don't know, you aren't able to spell words properly in your own videos if the "Fascism" one is anything to go by, so maybe try looking in a mirror. Just goes to show: narcissism and stupidity never mix well.
 
Here's a piece of classic Christian cringe from the old days.

Here is an old footage of a pastor whining about Pokemon by calling it witchcraft. For context, this was at the peak of the anti-video game movement mostly run by religious boomers that were concerned about the effect video games had on the mind of youngsters. So you probably wonder why would the Religious Right back in the day complained about Pokemon? Some thought it was Satanic, others thought it was demonic. But the main reason why many hardcore fundies back then objected to Pokemon was because of the evolution game mechanic

If you are familiar with the concept of creationism (the idea that God created the world and everything in the universe in only seven Earth days) then you understand why a lot of religious people back then objected to Pokemon. A lot of fundies back then wanted to shield their children from any secular concepts that could contradict religious teaching so because Pokemon taught gamers that concept of evolution over creationism, a lot of fundies therefore got angry that a video game didn't had Biblical teachings in it and Pokemon wasn't Christian propaganda. Authoritarians have always hated anything they don't or can't control.

So here is some new fundie cringe.

A while back, the state of Louisiana signed a bill into law that requires the Ten Commandments being displayed in public schools. The idea behind it is to promote kids the idea that Christianity had an influence on the creation of the United States and to promote the Judaeo-Chrstian belief to promote American patriotism.

Well a federal court in Louisiana struck it down as unconstitutional citing First Amendment concerns (because the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution prohibits the establishment of state sponsored religion). The state attorney general of Louisiana was not happy with the outcome and decided to appeal to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals (because the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals is seen as the most conservative appeals court in the American judicial system and conservatives see the 5th Circuit as a way to push what they want); the 5th Circuit rejected Louisiana's appeal and kept the blocking of the law in place so Louisiana can't make it mandatory to have the Ten Commandments to be on display in public schools.

When even one of the most conservative appeals court in America won't entertain the nonsense being pushed by fundies and social conservatives then I think that is when they should take a hint on when to throw in the towel and realize some things that the social conservatives want will always be a pipe dream.

They'll be shocked to learn that the US founding fathers advocated democracy, which itself is a Greek ideal rather than a Christian one. There's nothing more anti-democracy than Medival-era Christianity which the founding fathers are going out of their way to avoid so they can't eat the shitshow that is the European Middle Ages.
