Yep, the guy who insisted that he be the final arbiter on Japanese translation issues had to use google translate. It makes his foray into the Japanese Wikipedia even more hilarious.

[EDIT] I had wanted to bring up the google translate thing for ages now but I couldn't remember where I read it so I stayed silent. I'm glad I came across this again.

He's an adult, at least legally. They can't do shit. Other than kick him to the curb, I suppose.

We just have to hope he edit wars with the wrong person and he gets one of those ridiculous 'this law was made because so-and-so is a fucking asshole' laws like "If one loses their pet tiger in Canton, Ohio they must notify the authorities within one hour" or "It is illegal for the owner of a bar to allow anyone inside to pretend to have sex with a buffalo."

That last one sounds like an amazing story until you realize it probably involves drunk people and no buffalo were harmed.

Hold on, he's needing to use Google Translate on write-ups and titles for kid's shows? Don't most of these programs go out of their way to use less kanji because it's for kids? Ryulong's ability to comprehend Japanese might only be somewhere in the primary school area. Good luck getting one of those sweet translator jobs with that.

Ya Google Translate prefers katakana when possible for words. So he has no leg at all trying to edit a language he can't fucking read.
 
For what it's worth, I got through to the arbcom committee, and someone acknowledged receipt and said the information was in the hands of arbcom.

I don't know how high a priority it is, or even how we would even know how they try to deal with him.

[EDIT] This is the same shit he pulled with buddyloids. He used a Bandai web page over in-show content as proof that his way was the right way.

That's the difference between a real translator (like me) and a fake one. Real ones do it for .10 a word. Fake ones edit wikipedia.

It'll be done as discreetly as possible, which means Cohen will wake up one day and find his whole IP range blocked from editing without warning or something like that.
