About what you'd expect for a company run by AGP fetishists that makes a guy like Donger CTO and ignores all complaints and questions about his "consent accidents."
The only thing that surprised me was the fucking maniac taking his mad crusade to LinkedIn and thus guaranteeing shit spills over into his professional life.
I can only assume he's already experiencing the results to his reputation and thought it won't make much difference.
Captain Ahab is a fair comparison, Fong is obsessed, he's as bad as Johnny Fallout, he's just slightly better up to now at hiding it.

"Toxic positivity" is an issue I've encountered before. It goes beyond just maintaining an optimistic outlook and into the pollyannaish refusal to ever acknowledge anything that might cause a negative emotion. It's a demand to always praise and validate, and never express anything even slightly negative or critical. Basic tranny behaviour, in other words. Utterly detrimental to a productive working environment, because people will just passive-aggressively sneer their way around it, or use demands for "positivity" as a weapon against people they don't like or want to punish.
Really does sound like a horrendous place to work.

The end of the Amarna period in ancient Egypt.
Tldr; rebellious special snowflake pharaoh Amenhotep IV/Akhnaten decided he was going to change his name, religion, art and the royal house all by himself, and most importantly for himself. For this reason he built a palace and a city (Amarna) in the desert and forced a ton of people to move there with him. There's not a lot of documentation preserved from this city which is odd for that period, and there were a looot of graves found, so something went spectacularly wrong. Akhnaten lasted about 25 years, his direct successors were all failures including Tutankhamen, and the next generations of pharaohs shat on him as hard as they possibly could.
Narcs have been narcing for thousands of years and luckily they tend to fail hard. Unfortunately they do take innocent people with them.
