Its only because they've been fucking with the English language for decades. The western concept of rights apply to all human beings, regardless of self identity. Adding a qualifier (women, trans, LGB, etc.) to a right us just a political tactic to imply the group of people advocating for such a thing is being oppressed when they're not. That's why lefties get so bothered by men's rights activism, because the existence of MRA's implies that men are somehow being oppressed which is wrong-think in progressive culture. If abortion were an enumerated right, it would apply to everyone, but nobody advocates for "men's right to an abortion" because it makes them sound like a loon to both sides. Trans-abortion advocacy is functionally the same thing, but adding the "trans" qualifier triggers everyone's cognitive dissonance and is therefor socially acceptable.
