You know, since she communicates entirely through smug word salads it's really hard to pin down exactly what Stephie is saying. I can think of three directions this strip is going.

1) Stephie is supporting mandatory hormone blockers for all children until they are old enough to determine their gender. This of course conflicts with a major point of Labelle's philosophy: children know best about their identity and should have the final say on the matter. Of course, Labelle is a hypocrite so who knows.

2) Stephie is sarcastically suggesting cis children be put on blockers. This is because Labelle disagrees with the idea natal children should be considered normal and is trying to make some point to that effect.

3) Stephie thinks both tranny and cis children should have unlimited access to hormone blockers at their sole discretion. Either because they already "know" or because they want to stave off biology long enough to make a decision. Two major themes of AM are child agency and unlimited gender fluidity, so this is the most likely explanation.

I'm going for 2) and 3)

But considering the lunacy that passes for thought in this strip, I may be entirely optimistic not going with 1)

So Guillaume is for ruining the bones of entire generations of children because he himself is salty over not being fucked by gay men. What a tool.

Wasn't Romanization less of a trend and more being conquered? I don't any of these people are on the same page as to what trendy means.

New comic, @Hat

I honestly have nothing.

This might be the first comic where Guillaume completely devolved into half-insane gibbering. Mainly because this comic makes no sense and has no connecting points or reasonably decipherable things in it. Being mocked as a closet-case in denial must sting.

Besides, going bi hasn't been a trend since pretending to be a tranny became cool. Isn't that right Guillaume?

I think Labelle's point here is that somebody claiming to be bisexual can't really be doing it for the trend if bisexuals are a marginalised group in society. However Sophie is what we call a "terrible writer" and struggles to grasp the concept of writing natural conversation so satire and sarcasm are way out of her depth.

Normally I pride myself in being able to find Labelle's argument, but I can't make heads or tails of this.

I think he's saying being trendy is okay, because Labelle is once again applying his made up definitions and treating them as accepted fact.

I think.

Also is Stephie just not a character anymore?

Doesn't help that Guillaume here isn't writing for satire, but for attention and so he doesn't have to get a job.

Or the fact he also hates the fuck out of gay people, which makes this even more hilariously hypocritical.

How does Sophie explain the ridiculous number of people who were "bisexual" for the length of their time in college and despite that, never had sex with anyone but members of the opposite sex, and were never heard to say they were bi the moment they grew up?

She would still insist they're bisexual, since simply stating something is fact as long as it's about sexual identity. Unless you insist you're heterosexual. Because heterosexuality doesn't exist in Sophieland.

The same way she explains how there is a growing trend of teenagers and hopeless adults who can claim to be transsexual without experiencing any dysphoria and therefore deserve to be treated like sensitive little daisies. By running away and crying, blocking you from her interweb safe space and writing one of her comics incredibly floored narratives with two-dimensional characters featuring broken anatomy and some word salad about the "transmisogynistic, ciscentric, heteronormative bullies".

Sigrún is a girl's name, LaBill. Well, it is here on planet Earth, anyway, and it definitely is in Iceland. Either Stophie here did precisely zero research before shitting out this strip and slapping it up on the Internet to fester, or the Queer Youth of Reykjavik are just telling her any old bullshit to see if she'll actually use it, but regardless of whether it's either or both she's still done the Nordic equivalent of writing a strip about a boy named Sue.
