New comic, @Hat

You know, for someone who worked with children for so long, Sophie doesn't really seem to understand that kids are very rarely smarter than adults.

I honestly wonder if we'll get anything resembling another story arc at this point.

In any case, I suppose it's somewhat understandable that the kid would be accepting of trannies. After all, I'm sure that you get somewhat empathetic to the struggles of other people when you're bullied for your deformed face and for having one leg shorter than the other.

Somehow, the autist shoehorns peanut allergies into it. Kids with peanut allergies are somewhere near the top of my list of shit I do not give a single fuck about.

Damn, Guille must really hate adults, considering in every single comic, he strawmans them and has them act like complete idiots (despite being REALISTICALLY correct.)
Does he just not get that adults are smarter than children? Life experience, as well as the fact that they have fully functioning cognitive frontal lobes?

Sophie used to teach children, didn't she? Sure, some kids might not question anything, but surely there's going to be plenty of children who bring up lots of uncomfortable questions. I wonder how she handled those?

Billie belongs to that camp of leftist nutters who think children should be allowed to make all of their own decisions about their development. These kinds of parents let their kids choose everything, from their gender to their own name. This of course is dangerously irresponsible and the possibility a child may not actually know what's best for himself is lost on Labelle.

Though I have a feeling he'd still be willing to lecture and correct a child on transphobia and toxic heteronormativity.

Well, her more recent comic stuff gives me the impression she does want to be a kid again than anything else as the most consistent thought she has is not getting call out of anything she does while doing anything she wants even if it contradicts her previous stances.

Ex: about using the female/male bathrooms, were the only thing she seems to agree with herself is that she wants to piss in the any place she feels like it.

A few things I've noticed going through some of the old stuff of hers.

One: Guillaume was never a teacher. Looking through the previous thread, the story kept changing from "educator" to "youth counselor" to "tran.s youth advocate" to just "support my Patreon". Basically she's as much a teacher as Subway employees are "sandwich artists" or Hayden Black is "a world-famous Tweeter".

I'm betting that Guillaume's not writing "these" strips. He's flat out said many were "inspired" by so-and-so from such-and-such. These comics bear the hallmarks of some desperate way to avoid actually having to come up with a new arc. He doesn't know what to draw, so he grabs a suggestion and shits out these traced... pieces of shit.

Hey Labelle, why not actually teach people instead of throwing a bunch of stupid strawmen around and think people will learn from that?

This may be powerlevelling, but I think it proves a point.

First year of high school, some kid I never seen before is getting shown around the girl's locker rooms by a few friends of mine. Now, what did the kid look like? A boy. Plain and simple. Short, cropped curly hair, basketball shorts and sneakers... they sounded like a dude too. Every way I looked, I saw a boy. So of course, when some 13 year old girl sees some dude-looking kid in the locker room, the most expected reaction is "OMG, WHY IS THERE A BOY IN THE GIRL'S LOCKER ROOM?!"
Now, instead of educating young, ignorant me, I got the obvious stare of disbelief and the "No, she's a girl!" treatment.
No one ever took me aside and explained what a "transgender" person was or what it meant to be trans. Heck, after that, I was afraid to ask anything about why she looked and dressed and sounded like a boy.
So uh, yeah Labelle. A lot of people need more explanations and less strawmanning. Because you're not driving away "misoginysts" and "transphobics" like you mentioned a few comics before. You're driving away uneducated people who just want to fucking understand your situations better. And be able to ask you questions and speak out their minds freely without being yelled at because what they said was "transphobic."

That was a bit of a sperge, but I hope my point wasn't lost in there.

He's specifically mentioned being an elementary school teacher in his old Facebook posts, and I believe he has also made reference to being a counselor at some sort of pro-LGBT. Although his word alone is certainly not proof, I see no reason why he cannot have held both positions at different times, so this alone does not disprove his claims.

He's on one of his tours right now, so he's shitting out these 4-panel strawman strips at workshops, probably with suggestions from fans and fellow transsexuals.

Nothing says "persecuted oppressed transwomen" like frequent international trips all over the place.

If I had seen the post about the Göttingen seminar earlier I could have done a bit of field-agenting, it's like a 90 minute trip from where I live. But I only saw it today, and then, do I really want to spend altogether three hours in a train just to see a person who makes silly comics?? ;)

I would appreciate some real trans problems or at least no over the top strawmen in the comics.
