I honestly think the main thing that pisses me off, especially lately, is the amount of people that are overworried about "problematic content"
usually it just means someone supporting something or rather that they don't. Some girl at work said that she could hardly find goth-punk stores anymore that weren't problematic.
I just had to stand there and think for a moment because i don't know if that means that the more common ones are problematic and that if i'm caught shopping there I will get culled.

Every single fucking thing in the world is now designed to advertise at you. Good fucking luck getting your smartphone to stop pushing shit at you that you don’t care about.
I hate when I log into a site via mobile browser and I get notices encouraging me to use the site's mobile app. If I'm not using it to log in, there's likely good reason for that. Nagging me to get it isn't going to work.

Another annoyance was having my phone company attempt to switch me to paperless billing all because I misplaced my bill one month and logged in to print off another copy and pay it. Despite clicking the link to say, "No thanks," they still tried to switch me.

What I hate about this App shit is that IN THEORY an App can be vastly inferior to a website by vastly reducing bandwidth-requirements since it can cache all static elements and can communicate far more efficiently through its API.
In reality a lot of the time developers don't make use of that but instead just take Apps as an excuse to shove more ads and tracking into my face.
I shit you not, in one app I use they display a logo during an order process into my face and it loads the logo every time instead of just caching it.

I think most apps are just poorly optimized crap that is programmed in some engine that is convenient but not understood by the developers.

Jury Selection

Had to go through it today. I have very low standards for people, but there isn't anything like going through a jury selection process to crater them even more. Luckily after 6 hours I was dismissed.

It also kind of made me pissed off at the entire legal system, but to get into that I'd probably have to PL too much.

i just went up to the lady in charge and said "i am really really, uncomfortably prejudice and racist and i cannot be unbiased" and she let me go shockingly

I see most apps as the result of two main trends, part of which you have spot on, @Jacknife
  • A lot of today's programmers are hired more to satisfy diversity quotas than for what they know about proper coding and software design/maintenance. Developers, especially those working at code farms, tend to prioritize quantity of code over quality code. The end result is the inefficient crap you mentioned.
  • Many mobile apps offer nothing new and improved over accessing the main site with a mobile browser. There's no incentive for end users to devote storage space on their devices installing an app that adds nothing of value and wants constant updates -- more-so when these same apps have any sort of subscription fee.

The autistic traintard next door removed the chicken wire from the wrought iron fence that divides the porches. Why the fuck did you do that?

That chicken wire is there for a reason. My grandfather put it there back in the 60s because the neighbors were afraid of the German shepherd and didn't want her poking her face through the bars. It prevents the current dog, who is 17 and loopy, from squeezing through the curly q design in the middle of the fence. He's an escape artist and you have to watch him like a hawk. If you tie him up he gets upset and doesn't want to stay outside anymore. No idea why. But he came from a bad place and he might have been tied a lot.

I'd say put up more chicken wire. But the autismo will just take it down even if it's on this side. It was wired on his side. But that's because my grandfather put it up for the neighbors at the time. He doesn't own the house and he doesn't lean against the fence or sit on it. So it's not like it was scraping him or anything. The autismo is just renting the upstairs apartment on some program. He spends all day on the porch talking to himself. It's creepy and I don't like him. And he's obsessed with trains.

He also had someone remove the border from the bottom of the cyclone fence on his front garden. Because it was "Bothering him". Now there's going to be weeds and dirt creeping out into the sidewalk. I wonder what other "renovations" he's going to do.

i placed an order for some beer off drizzly today would have been 4 12 packs of the good stuff too. but the store cancelled the order. something about low supply or some bs excuses. anyway They said they'd refund the money but my bank is still processing the inital charge from drizzly. Since it's after 5 where I am now and a friday that means I probably wont get my money back until monday, and now i dont even have any beer to deal with the wait. (:_(

Adendum: Looking up "love fist tee shirt" and the first result is the socialist/blm fist with rainbow colors and the word love on it, and not the greatest (fictional) rock band of 86.

The way liquor bottles are designed. I've started free pouring because trying to be responsible and measure my drink just results in wasted booze.

I met a dude and the first thing he let me know was that he hated the surveillance state and that he had a huge hatred of Amazon as a company.

Went to his house for a party a month later, and his entire house is outfitted with Blink and Ring cameras. When I questioned him on it he just kind of shrugged and claimed they were the only cameras available.

I guess it's just general stupidity that pisses me off but that one is the current thing.
