Unpopular opinion, but I’m pretty sure it’s better for those pieces to be safely in a museum where they can be appreciated by many instead of in often war-torn countries where extremist groups can easily destroy them for being a piece of the “wrong history”. Hell, I remember hearing something about Tibetan artifacts being stolen and destroyed in an attempt to wipe out traces of that culture.

The story of Kanji is one that i always like despite everyone constantly bringing up the "he's gay" misconception coming from the usual suspects. Kanji was all about accepting himself and knowing that you don't need to be a "man" by the book to actually feel like a man. In the same way, Naoto was about accepting herself being a female and the enormous challenge that was for her being a girl and also very young to be up to the expectations of her family despite believing that being a man would have made things easier.

But damn if things meant something more than "X is gay" or "Y is a tranny".

I've seen some getting extremely defensive over the fact that in trasnaltions Astolfo refers to himself as a man rather than any other thing that would enable their fantasies, claming that the translations have an angle to not make Astolfo a tranny for obvious "transphobic reasons".

Astolfo is the quintessential Femboy/trap so I makes sense why they have a hate boner for him and want to "reclaim him"

Thinking about Bridget, and knowing his story, feels like him trooning out makes his whole story/character arc about proving he's a man regardless of how he looks become completely pointless.

Ahh, they found the new Top Gun. Disappointed but not surprised. Surprised I haven’t seen anything involving Phoenix (probably because she’s actually an enjoyable character and not really a “I am wahmen don’t need no man” type. Or I’m just trying not to taint my enjoyment of the movie).
