One of my favourite low-energy/'fuck it' meals is a simple shakshuka.

Eggs. Diced tomatoes. An onion and/or peppers if you got 'em, and spices (garlic, cayenne pepper or chili flakes, cumin, I've used garam masala in a pinch, salt)

Cook the onions and/or peppers in a little oil, add spices, open can of tomatoes and dump them in there. Let that simmer a little, then make holes in the sauce, crack the eggs into the holes, turn the heat down, and cover it; let it cook til the eggs are set.




And here's about what a grocery order for it would cost at my local walmart in leafland, assuming you didn't have onions or eggs or garlic at home. The pita isn't even necessary if you're real broke.

A simple sauce and pasta with or without salad is a perfectly good cheap meal, but Polly genuinely believes that she is above “poverty foods.” Especially if they’re eaten or made at home. Most poverty foods are also staples and eaten across class lines (Pulte probably eats pasta cooked by a personal chef), and I bet if she was given a pasta dish at a restaurant she’d be all for it. But she’s dumb and greedy and entitled. That $15 is probably going to a pizza from Joh’s latest former job.

I just got done eating Top Ramen. Even at a "fancy" grocery store, they're 33 cents a pack. Go to the produce section and get some green onions, broccoli, pea pods, mushrooms,etc. Throw everything in a pot, put in water, bring to a boil, throw in the noodles. Cook for 4 minutes. Loosely drain the water, use 1/2 the seasoning packet and a couple of shots of Siracha.

For $15 you can make a nice steak dinner. This fat lazy chode needs to fuck the right off.
