The fact that this was on one of GTA V’s in game radio stations and not in GTA: Vice City still shocks me to this day.
I honestly didn't even knew Eddie Murphy could sing, let alone sing good, without the Diamond Casino trailer. I love this song cause of GTA V, but it always surprised me that this song wasn't on any of the 3D Era GTAs.

The metal detector was added to GTA Online today. Basically you have to wait for it to pop up in a random event along the coast/docks of Los Santos to collect it, which is annoying and can take forever as is.

Then once a day during Cayo Perico intel missions, there will be two big ? outlines on the map. You have to use the detector to search for buried treasure in these huge outlines.

The reward? $15,000 for each spot for a grand total of $30,000.

Jesus Christ, Rockstar...

I'm not sure about the specific times, so I'm probably off, but there was a 1-2 combo punch around Eddie for a while, due to him getting busted with a trans hooker and Rick James going through his own legal shit after he kidnapped a lady while on a crack binge.

And also on an episode of Regular Show. I think we get the idea.

GTA 6 will 'set creative benchmarks' for entertainment, according to Take-Two

Kyle Campbell - Tuesday

During Take-Two’s latest financial update with investors on Monday, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick gave a brief development update (Thanks, PC Gamer).

“With development of the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series well underway, the Rockstar Games team is determined to once again set creative benchmarks for the series, our industry, and for all entertainment,” Zelnick said. “Just as the label has done with every one of their frontline releases.”

It’s a bold claim, though not one that is unjustified. In the same report, Zelnick announced that GTA 5 has nearly shipped 170 million units worldwide. There was another bump in sales thanks to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S ports from earlier this year. As if you needed another reminder that this game was popular!

In February of 2022, Take-Two stated that GTA 6 development was moving forward at Rockstar. Several months later, reports claimed the long-awaited sequel might have a female protagonist, which upset some fans for groan-worthy reasons.

Perhaps someday, we might see GTA 6 take shape before another comet hits the earth.

More pointless articles about GTA 6, to the point where even the humblebragging sounds weak and uninspired.

GTA 6 clickbait is one of THE most annoying pieces of journalism yet.
Well, if the rumors and clickbait mean anything, we’re going to have to deal with it until late 2023/early 2024. Until then, they will still have to shill the “impressive” sales of what the Definitive Edition™ received after launch.

So What will be worse/more insulting to it's franchise: SR6 or GTA6? (Saints Row 6 is definitely in the lead rn)

Saints Row's franchise was already insulted by SR3, spat on by SR4, kicked in the nuts by Gat out of Hell and shot point blank by Agents of Mayhem. So GTA probably.

Saints Row by far, although I don’t believe Rockstar is going to make GTA 6 fun I still believe they’ll at least make it technically competent, impressive even, even if the writing and world building is bland and uninteresting (which is how I feel it will be, I don’t think Rockstar is going to write scenes where characters empty mags in each other over misgendering people a la Far Cry 6). On the other hand, not only does the Saints Row reboot has shown to have some of the worst writing in gaming (this is not hyperbole), but it also has the same tired gameplay as Saints Row The Third from ten years ago, full with the same animations and bullet sponges enemies from that game. GTA 6 may not be great, but they will have to try really, really hard to outdo Saints Row 2022

Well I heard rumors (so grain of salt) that Gta 6 writing will be more Saint Row 2022 than GTA in style

Saints Row bar none. They had ample opportunity to read the room, but decided to throw out any goodwill and potential competition with GTA. Do not forget their last flop, Agents of Mayhem.

If public opinion is anything to go by, this reboot will sink the franchise.

I'm leaning towards Saints Row, but reserving judgement for GTA VI as we haven't seen it yet.

With the exception of Red Dead Redemption II, Rockstar has steadily declined for me over the past decade over the way they abandoned their campaigns, milked GTA Online dry, unleashed GTA Plus on a nine year old game, ripped out all sorts of songs instead of paying to renew licenses (they make 3 million dollars a day from Shark Cards, they can afford to renew licenses), and let Grove Street Games defile their classic games (twice in San Andreas' case), so GTA VI being underwhelming wouldn't shock me (I want to be wrong, but Rockstar has really pissed me off).

On the other hand, as someone that enjoyed most of Volition's output, seeing them go against their fanbase so drastically after they almost bit it when Agents of Mayhem bombed leaves me bewildered. The best I can say about the reboot is that it's just more of Saints Row 3 but with neutered humor and the worst cast of characters since Wolfenstein Youngblood, and each bit of new footage just makes me more embarrassed for Volition thinking this is what people want.

Hell of it is, we still haven't seen the full story for either game, so who knows how much more insulting they can get.
