Not that I support the insane shit posted on that forum but looks really are the most important aspect for attracting people. Dating, relationships, sex, etc. are really just about the goal of reproduction even if you don't subconsciously realize it. Good looks just mean you have good genetics for reproducing. Incels say crazy shit but the people on here that deny that looks are important are not any better. Every woman I've ever dated was into me because she was attracted to me and better looking men are more popular with women for obvious reasons.
Looks just get your foot in the door. Maybe your D in the P, but looks alone won't KEEP a good woman.

Yes "neurodivergent", because there are neuropsychiatric conditions other than autism involved in that show. Nothing to do with any movement, so just stop swallowing your panties.

Looks are important for an INITIAL IMPRESSION, but that's it, and even then it's not as stringent as one would think. Basic hygiene and upkeep goes a long way. Also, being an interesting person still gets you far more mileage.

"Basic" hygiene, I think you mean unobtainable rocket science hygiene.

Soap, shampoo, shaving cream, razor, deodorant. Add in clothes that are at least halfway neat and not in total shreds or smelling like a homeless bum slept on them for the winter.

If that's rocket science to you, I can't help ya.

I'll get you a dictionary and open it on the page for sarcasm.

While looks are a major component in attraction, the problem I have with a lot of incels is that they have too much of a black and white view of how attraction works.

“Oh, it’s over bro if you’re ugly”. They’re missing the point, looks can get you in the door and make a good first impression, sure. Even make you more likely to get some ass. However, looks usually aren’t the end all or be all.

Humans have more developed frontal lobes than other animals do, so things other than looks can help with attraction. If anyone was paying attention to my post from the other day, that was the point that I was trying to make when I said that behavioral disabilities (like autism) are more likely to turn a man into an incel than simply being less than average in the looks department.

He never said they would. He said looks are the most important aspect for attracting people, for both men and women, which is a fact. "Keeping" a good woman is pretty much a 50/50 dice roll in western cultures, and basically trivial in eastern cultures.
A 50/50 dice roll? Nah. If she's good and you're good to, and for, her there should be no trouble keeping her. Being good for her assumes many key things being aligned (likes/dislikes, key virtues, parenting style, etc.). Date a girl before you make assumptions.

It's the failure rate for first marriages in the west. Higher for subsequent attempts.

edit: looks like it's 41% for first marriages now. Same deal though.

Yeah, for  all marriages. That doesn't always mean a marriage, with two people who are truly a good match, has a 50% (or whatever it is) chance of failing. Just because 95% of people would die attempting to land a plane doesn't mean a pilot has a 5% chance of success.

Yes, all marriages, up to and including all marriages. Yes some marriages have a higher chance of succeeding than others. No, "we are a true and honest good match" as testified by the couple in question, is not a reliable indicator of whether their marriage is one of those.

Well, no shit. Especially when you poll a random couple on the street. Look, man, feel free to spend your life miserable and alone if that's what you want to do.

Easier to just say it won't work, rather than try and possibly fail. Inceldom is a choice.

You're also slyly implying that the initiator of the divorce is always the woman, and that the man never agrees that they shouldn't be together anymore. "50/50 chance to keep a woman" you said, with the implication that it's always him that wants to do the keeping.

This thread absolutely deserves its Plagued rating.
