Unfortunately I wish I could have saved the tweet threads, but there was data collected that showed that women and men tend to gravitate towards different sciences. Women prefer earth sciences/natural sciences or sciences involving animals and medicine, and men prefer physics and hard mathematics. Math olympiads are usually male, due to the extreme position of males on the Bell Curve. I disagree with La Griffe du Lion (HBD blogger and data collector) that you'll only find a female genius every 100 years, because male geniuses have declined as well. Ultimately this gets us into the male/female IQ debate which is sperged about in the HBD sphere and the MGTOW sphere. It is true women prefer people, and men prefer things, but in terms of the sciences there are natural gaps. It has nothing to do with misogyny, as most of the sampling came from countries where women are prominent in society - Sweden, France, Germany. Oddly enough, in more 'feminist' countries, you see women in women's studies and 'non academic' fields, but in societies where there IS misogyny, you see a lot of women in harder sciences. Lots of Russian women became rocket scientists, for example. It's an interesting paradox.

The whole "women aren't interested or good in stem/computing" is actually a retarded thought considering how the history of computer science has a higher than average amount of prominent women than other fields. Coding was seen as secretarial and thus a woman's job until men realized that there's big money in software and started to dominate the field. NASA was able to send a man into space because of the genius of three black women. A surface level glance into that history will prove you wrong.

I had a history in working with kids in STEM summer camps and after school programs, and I've found that if you separate the girls and a woman teaches them some cool engineering shit, they are more likely to participate and engage than if you mixed them with the boys. Girls like STEM topics. But for that interest to flourish a slightly curated environment that encourages them helps immensely because they've most likely experienced some form of "you're a girl, you're not supposed to be interested in that or good enough for that" in their lives.

My personal theory for this is that women in more feminist countries don't feel like they have to prove that they are equal to men, so they are more comfortable with going to fields that women are expected to. But by doing that they don't realize that they are succumbing to misogynistic pressures of what a woman should be doing. Whereas in more misogynistic societies, women feel as if they must prove that they are capable so they work very hard to show that they are, or they realize that they must enter an academically rigorous field in order to secure their freedom from their misogynistic family/society.
I find that this dichotomy exists on a class scale, because the soft degrees like design, art, English, etc were filled with affluent and mostly white people, while the harder degrees had a variety of people but most of those who were first generation college students were in those programs.
