Barb and Chris aside, I feel like Bob on his own would've made for a pretty cool neighbour. RIP our beloved internet lumberjack

Man, the fact that a guy with his smarts let himself get saddled with Barb and the exceptional individual is really depressing. I'd like to think that Bob is somewhere up in heaven, smiling down at us, smiling because he'll never see Barb and Chris again when they'll burn in hell for all eternity.
Do you think the musical pushcart will be called as a witness in Chris' trial?
Why yes, yes, I did. Care to provide your input? You necro'd a thread to ask that?

That musical pushcart might have witnessed CWC and Barb's soul-bonding; thus, it would be a material witness for the State.
Cheers, pal, just trying to make this place interesting again.Necrothreads are like great throwback nostalgia. I love them.
The Sonic the Hedgehog totem would be a better witnessCheers, pal, just trying to make this place interesting again.
Now, what are your thoughts about the musical pushcart appearing as a witness? Sound trial strategy or prosecutorial overreach?

I'm glad you mentioned it because it's pathetic that Bob let his wife bully him into giving up his musicDo you think the musical pushcart will be called as a witness in Chris' trial?
I mean, he was in his 80s. I dont know if it's so much pathetic as elder abuse.I'm glad you mentioned it because it's pathetic that Bob let his wife bully him into giving up his music
You get your black ass down in the gutter and stay there! The Random Thoughts thread exists for a reason.
Bob was a frustrating case of a guy who had a lot going for him and could have lived a great life, but tanked all of that by being a self-destructive moron in his relationships. What should’ve been his golden years were a hell of his own making.Bob was a good and honorable man who loved his family despite all their flaws.
It's a tragic thing.
He was clearly a bit tired though... kinda understandable.
I suspect that like Elon Musk, he craved loony poony.Bob was a frustrating case of a guy who had a lot going for him and could have lived a great life, but tanked all of that by being a self-destructive moron in his relationships. What should’ve been his golden years were a hell of his own making.

Wasn't the development of an automatic train car counter actually a pretty big technical achievement?
They're like off topic threads on /tv/, extremely based and the only reason to visit that shithole of a board.Necrothreads are like great throwback nostalgia. I love them.
Yes, for that era. If I recall correctly, the device used radio signals. Bob worked at an interesting period of time in the engineering field---his prime working years were during the birth and rise of transistors. I wish I could've chatted with him about his time in the Signal Corps and General Electric.Wasn't the development of an automatic train car counter actually a pretty big technical achievement?
The identification and counting of railroad cars was a huge thing at the time. There's a brief mention of GE's method in the Wikipedia article for KarTrak, the technology that eventually "won", until people realized it was a pain in the ass to keep maintained.Yes, for that era.
