I've been seeing the "inclusive language" more and more often lately and it got me thinking. "Birthing person", "people with uteruses", "menstruators" etc. are actually less inclusive than just saying woman. Because I'll still be a woman even if I never give birth, I will be a woman if I get a hysterectomy, and I will be a woman if (and when) I stop menstruating. Even if we include in our language the 1% of females who are TiFs, we are excluding even larger numbers of women who do not fit into the sexist stereotypes that TRAs believe about women. And by sexist stereotypes I mean using language that designates women's primary function to be the reproductive one. As a staunch child-free person, it leaves a sick feeling in my stomach, though I bet being thought of as only good for making babies doesn't feel great even for women who want kids.
