Tumblr used to be a great place for people with disabilities. It's what gravitated me to it. But now it's like they've completely lost all sight of what real ableism, real disabilities, real mental illnesses, disorders, etc. are. It also seems like they constantly latch onto a new diagnosis - first it was autism, then borderline personality disorder, now it's dissociation/depersonalization. I'm wondering what the next one will be.

I also love how so many of them list "psychosis" in their self-diagnosis lists. "Psychosis" is not a diagnosis in and of itself. It's not its own disorder. I may be wrong on this, but psychosis is a grouping of symptoms, that characterize a wide range of abnormal behaviour/thinking that is out of touch with reality. There are psychotic disorders, and some disorders that may feature psychotic symptoms. Every time I see someone just list "psychosis" I can't help but feel that even they know it would be outlandish and unbelievable to say they have like, Schizophrenia or Schizoaffective Disorder (with psychotic episodes) or something, since a psychotic episode would obviously come across, even in online text format (and especially offline).

It's too hard to fake, so voila, "psychosis". Now they can be edgy as well as blame their bizarre, shitty behaviour on being "psychotic", without actually having to suffer from a real psychotic disorder or episode, of course! Instead of just owning up to the fact their shitty behaviour is just shitty behaviour and completely irrelevant of their made-up psychosis.

I always thought Tumblr was some photography blog when I heard about it, like I actually asked my friend who used to use it, how do I view comments on it? As I don't know shit about Tumblr.

I'm reminded of a comic book store where the hygiene issue got so bad management basically refused service to anyone who smelled bad and told them why. They personally improved the city. Incidentally there's something in random_text.txt about some similar place.

I also remember a time in college a bunch of nerd friends basically staged an intervention on a never-showering friend and forced him to develop the habit. He's actually presentable today and has a career despite being blindingly autistic (computer programmer). Really nice guy, though, not like our autists.
 
'Spoon theory' is an analogy from a blog and has absolutely no connection to any part of medical science.

This actually happened outside of Toronto where I live (I live not far from Dstecks like an hour and a half) but anyways this person complained the city body shamed her eight year old daughter she had some tweets someone found about the girls mother abusing prescription meds, but removed them claiming they were 'hacked' and someone did call her out on youtube on a few levels including the public not hearing a word from their daughter and questioned her motives on twitter, but she blocked the guy like a typical tumblr feminist (Unsure if this lady is on Tumblr but she would fit in well)

Eh, to be fair, nowadays it's only consensual sex if you fill out paperwork and have video proving that you sought consent every 5 seconds. Otherwise you're a rapist.

Thanks to the Duke rape case, and that utter travesty of a Rolling Stone article, I assume all rape accusations are false unless proved in the court of law.

Cherubplay is a homestuck roleplay website, and the tumblr cherubplay tag is used by people who roleplay promenantly there; I'm assuming it's some sub-community wank.

I vaguely remember something on my dash within the past few days about people in the cherubplay tag arguing other people rping rape/pedophilia/shit like that so it might be related, or some other drama entirely. I don't really care enough to know much more about it, sorry
