I live in a "relatively" small town & most of the steakhouses here serve Hotstone only because of that whole Social Media stigma.. Even if I order my Steak rare they don't wanna serve it without a stone. I fucking hate that. First of all, I'll smell like I would stand behind the stove/grill the whole night & second why do I need to cook it myself? I mean I get it, it takes the heat out of the kitchen if the customer can cook it for his own. Should I bring my dusty Chef Jacket back the next time I wanna eat?

I'd honest to god just get up and leave if I was told I had to cook my own meal in a restaurant like that. If I bought it I'd damn well fight to not pay for it and refuse to touch it, since I came to pay money so that I don't have to cook personally.

I guess really I have more of a gripe with sous vide burgers than anything else. They take practically no time at all to make regularly. I get it's a logistics thing for some of these fast food places but really if you don't have some sort of a flat top you can chuck the patties on, you probably shouldn't be selling hamburgers anyway.

Yeah it's actually incredibly retarded to somehow not have a flat top, but I guess arby's ran the numbers and figured they'd make a tidy profit doing it this way. They're probably frozen in between being cooked sous vide and delivered to arby's, no way they're getting fresh burgs every 4 days or less.

Deep frying makes sense because it'll reheat the burger and add some flavor that was lost in the freezing process. I don't know why they wouldn't melt the cheese under the heat lamps. They have to have them. It's going to be a gross burger either way, and a waste of wagyu.

They probably sourced some inferior Wagyu from a breeder you know something that they couldn't sell as an A5 steak and that's why it's cheap. They of course cut it with regular ground beef to keep costs even lower.

But as I said it's more marketing speak than anything else. I'd seriously like to know where they sourced this from and why stroked out idiots think they're getting the genuine stuff.
