The only time I can think of people collectively reading political books by choice were the secret book clubs during the White Terror and they were hardly bragging about it unless they wanted a bullet in their head. “Taxes? Just don’t pay them - what can the government do?” - seriously though a lot of these retarded ideas come from wanting to be a sovereign citizen (the same people who think the US controls human people through carefully constructed maritime laws) but lacking the agency to actually do anything about it other than tweet about this edgy political book you enjoy reading over and over again.

My sister had to study communism in one of her anthropology classes and reading the writing of prominent thinkers (Full disclosure: she's very left-wing), and she told me it was so insufferable because it was written by intellectuals for intellectuals, using such fancy language that no regular joe would bother to understand. Not to mention confusing and contradictory as fuck when it started to fracture and branch off into different sub-ideologies and branches (marxism-leninism, stalinisn, Trotskyism, you get the idea), and that it was like seeing a pissing match between groups to see which is the better communism.

I agree, this is the case with most political manifestos but communism for some reason attracts in-denial spergs that lash out at each other and call each other “not real communism”. These fragmentations are made so important especially when larpers like Aiden get involved not realising which brand of shit they’re interested in, then they get attacked from all sides. tldr: commie infighting has never failed to entertain me.
