This chapter was wonderful. Actually, the last double page spread was one of the best I've seen in a while. Not a ton of clutter, but you can feel the pure emotion from the page.
Press F to pay respect to that bowler hat CP0 agent. He's about to be turned into tomato paste next chapter given how Kaido is in a "Homicidal Drunk Phase" and that he basically cockblocked Kaido from one of the best fights he has had since KOZUKI ODEN. That government promotion isn't going to be worth shit with the pure asswhooping CP0 bowler hat is going to get. You can literally see it in Kaido's face on the last page that he is extremely distraught
 
Okay that was..unexpected.

I dunno how Kaido reacts to this in terms of Luffy.

I know CP0 Man is going to fucking get smashed hard enough that I do not think "Smear on the ground" will be a massive understatement as to how this guy ends up, I think Kaido is going to hit this guy hard enough to just turn him into a fine mist.

Buuut...Kaido has started to respect Luffy as a warrior, so I don't think Kaido is going to straight up kill him now that the fight has been cheated. Kind of like Katakuri.

The world government viewing Luffy as Joy Boy, just the fact that CP0 interfered on Kaido's side sort of implies that Luffy has already won. IMO the Horror is because For the first time in 20 Years Kaido found someone who can face him on even footing..and it once again gets ruined by outside interference. That is why I think Kaido is going to be Mad At the Internet.

CP0 Man gonna get hit hard enough his concept art is gonna feel it.
 
I have to pay grudging respect to CP0 guy, even while despising him. He was given a mission, knew there was no way he could do it himself, so just got someone else to do the deed for him.
 
If you told 7 year old me when he started this series 10-11 years ago that one of his favorite stories ever would be still going, with a rubber-metal-goofy-ass captain of a band of misfits starts bar brawling with a suicidal warrior god dragon over the heavens and earth to support and free the people of a time warped Japanese samurai island, I’d first say that’s cool. But 2nd, you made that up, go fuck yourself.

Well, here I am. Very surreal to know I’ve been a fan of one piece for the literal majority of my life.

Doesn’t have much relevance to the latest chapter, just a feel good thing.

Edit: Frankie, Brook, and Robin are the goat and I will refuse to elaborate.

Double Edit: I was 7, but this’d be 11-12 years ago now. Ah, fuck. I’m getting old.

If he keeps his attitude intact through the next chapter he may take Coby's position in the setting as "How does he keep his pants on with Balls that huge?"
 
So there’s a weird rumor going around. People are actually taking the shapes of the scarring on Luffy’s face and saying they spell out Kanji for “Gear 5”

I guess next Chapter I can expect some bizarre new One Winged Angel form of Luffy, telling Kaido in a super deep voice “URRR MAKIN DEM STARRRR-VUH!”

It would be a nice twist to have Luffy lose because of this, and now the 5 who were up top are now all KO'd and it becomes a matter of Kaido destroying the island to take out CP0 and show he's not going to work with them anymore, successfully an hero'ing himself because he knows he lost. That might be too similar to Whole Cake.

For as much as the fight was about Luffy vs Kaido there is so much left dangling with Oden, and Enma and Ame no Habakiri are there with Momo and Hiyori on the island, perhaps the kids of Oden delivering the final blow can happen. It would be a big thing to have Momo in his now Oden look return and show strength to the world that Wano is open.

But looks like I’m gonna have to go easy this time. Only the first five pages of details are up and Redon seems to be implying this is gonna be a good one.

Luffy officially KO’D though
 
There are two questions I have for the next chapter

Will CP0 Man be hit hard enough to achieve escape velocity, and if he does..will there be enough of him left to land in Enel's lap, I kind of Unironically want this guy's head to actually land near Enel just to make him go "WTF"

Also I think it is hilarious that most of the talk about the chapter is "Where on a scale of "UNITED STATES OF SMASH" to "Saitama Serious Punch" will Kaido smack this motherfucker.

Re 1043 Spoilers

I don't think Luffy is going to be Joy Boy Reincarnated, it isn't in character for him to suddenly care about "Freedom" or whatever..he cares about the people of Wano eating. Because he is friends with Tama, Momo and the Scabbards, and if He is Joy Boy reincarnated I 100% Expect him to directly say "I don't care about that horseshit", and something about being Free from Fate

Zoro is kill

Usoppe is now the leader of the straw hats. He takes down Kaido by using the straw hat to bluff himself as Shanks. This was foreshadowed by how he made Nami insult the dinosaur siblings.

The final panel will be Usoppe pretending to be Luffy taking the title of Pirate King.

Any news if there's a break after this chapter? I really can't take it if this chapter is going to be as big as this only to have a break after that
