I link this all the time, but there's a really interesting talk at google about men's and women's sexualities, based on data they've gleaned from various internet sites. The speaker talks about what he thinks motivates the big interest among men in futa and what motives the interest in slash fiction among women.Off topic, but what is the appeal of futa to straight man? is he so straight that he can't even look at a naked man but want to see straight porn so he just watch futa? or is he a homosexual/bisexual in denial? because you know, isn't gay if looks like a woman!
If you've got the time, I highly recommend it. I actually bought the book too. It's a good airplane book.
Yeah, it's probably a fairly cynical political ploy. But I'll take it.My twitter has been filled with TERFs making equally outrageous claims that maybe Texas cares about unscrupulous pediatricians medically transitioning vulnerable minors... and it's like no, Abbott is trying to out alt right the alt right, he's probably going to declare a statewide celebration of lynching if he thinks it will get him ahead in the clown show republican primary. We're the ones who don't think 13-year-olds should get their tits chopped off and guys like Abbott makes us look crazy.
Though idk, while I think recategorizing (currently officially) medically recommended "treatments" as child abuse is a huge step to take, I think the medical establishment has fucked up badly enough to warrant it. I think overregulating the medical industry is bad, because medicine changes too fast to be chained down like that. But for that to work, the medical establishment needs to self regulate.
I think they've brought this on themselves. And really, they brought it on all of us, because there's a lot of value in a medical industry that's relatively free to experiment with new treatments. They're killing our trust in their ability to experiment ethically.
