This level of Disney obsession makes me feel dead inside. I wouldn't care if they only visited Disneyland a few times, but to treat such a blatantly artificial place like that as if it's the most fascinating place on Earth just rings hollow. The whole corporate nature of it and all feels awful.

i shut off everything from south korea, their media is too plastic for me to stomach it. I guess it feels like the cringiest aspects from American and japanese pop culture but on steroids, their idols are like those creepy realistic robots, they give me uncanny valley vibes, very surreal stuff.
PL: I know someone who is too much into Kpop, well a specific band at the very least. Listens mostly from that band and thinks most bands from Kpop are pretty good but as a result, tends to be a narcissist and has too much pride. I can tell you that the moment you consoom anything from Korea that is mostly Kpop, Kdrama or any part of their culture, they will immediately adopt a holier-than-thou attitude to their culture, especially if they were anime weebs from the past.

I like the idea of a large collection I can return to, but books especially take up so much space that I have found it better to just rebuy a book down the road as wanted -- usually at a cheaper price due to their depreciation. Same goes for disc-based games and more mainstream movies. I look at my current rate of media consumption, what I am likely to be spending my free time on the next few years, and weigh that against the convenience of having the media item onhand. I try to hold onto stuff I foresee being harder to get in the future, though.
