Like someone else said, if you lose enough or are still in your first three matches ever, you'll get matched up with a default Kiran cpu. Once you do fight the cpu what you can do is get a few points, and then concede before you actually win so you both keep the points and can get continuously matched up against another Kiran until you get whatever rewards you want out of the mode. Other than that you can also set it to only fight with units from gen 3 and before. There'll still be a lot of meta units there like Brave Hector, but at least Yuri and Brave Erika won't be shitting up every match.
 
Also just wanted to mention how hypocritical it is that Mekkah or seemingly anyone else in the FE sphere has called out Goose on her bullshit. What the fuck is this shit about being meth addict? And they've all seen the "hijacking my victimhood" shit and the message gaslighting Ryn into making a statement against Mangs. But I guess Goose not being some pure maiden who was defiled by Mangs, and an actual adult would go too much against their morals. As it stands I can't really feel bad for her all that much, even if what she said actually happened.

While FEH pvp is degenerate as fuck, Fates PVP at its peak was iirc effectively two Midoris hitting "end turn" forever because the match was decided by which Midori attacked the other first, as the first one who attacks is the loser. I think FEH feels worse because you actually need to care about it, while almost no one knows what Fates PVP even is because it is so ignorable.

There's really no more room for "if" in the discussion. Yes, Mangs was acting like a creep, he did some scummy shit, and alienated a few people being a poopy egghead coomer. But it's also true that all these people that called themselves his friends for years (Ghast, Mekkah, Chaz, Goose) knew how he was and never actually put their foot down so he'd clean up his act, even during the whole issue with MinaTangerina where he was apparently at his worst. On contrary, they would take screenshots to use against him and play cloak and dagger gay-ops, biding their time, mooching up his audience (Every single one of these people participated in his Paired-Up videos where he introduced them as fellow FE creators to his fans. Funny how they had no objections to play along with his antics if they could benefit.) and enabled him (once again, knowing he was this way, Goose pulls him away so he would sleep with her, and Chaz and Ghast being right there with Mangs in the same hotel room and after previously agreeing the dudes had their own rooms, girls were staying elsewhere, did nothing.)

I once again bring up Mangs' 2020 Birthday Livestream. I caught part of it live, and in hindsight it is sickening that every one there was metaphorically sharpening their daggers as they gave Mangs one last happy memory before they tried (keyword, tried) fucking his life up.

I have no sympathy or goodwill to these fucking subhuman parasites.

It's mostly ignorable in FEH, as the only reward of must-have value is the Forma Soul and it seems to be a one off so once you've got it, there's really no point returning if you aren't a masochist.
PVP in fire emblem is inherently bad as most people are cowards who play Enemy Phase and let the enemy come to them
A good modern way would be to implent the hotzone that FEH uses as an incentive to make the players go near each other. Just limit the usable units sensibly, Hegemon Edelgards and Legendary Azuras haunt me

In mangs and goose support, Mangs is even drunk and weirdly sexual

That board game I brought up attempts this idea. In summary you have castles on the middle section of the map, you must move a unit to that space and use their action for the turn there to get points but you also get less points if you kill units, the game ends when either the pool of points for taking castles or killing units is exhausted. So their is a real need to interact as if you just turtle then whoever secures castles first wins, but the one who goes for castles is not able to as aggressively fight because the unit must pass their turn to secure points and unless they have canto they're stuck too.

You also get a special token that allows you to change any tile, including castles, on the map to either a blank space or rough terrain to stall ground units that you get to use as a catch up mechanism. They also hampered powerful assist abilities by making them a once per play thing where you can only use things like Rally Speed one time per unit that has it, and then that's it. So the person on the defensive gets chances to catch up and actually interact. For a fan board game it is pretty decently put together, but I only played it for a little while so maybe some degeneracy exists and I just haven't seen it yet.

Dondon is at this point probably the only thing close to a decent person in this whole kerfuffle, I think he did make the right suggestion overall as at some point you just got to move on and you'd in the end have to move on with your life anyway. Also I'd highly suggest putting images this big in a spoiler tag or as a thumbnail for viewing purposes.

Let's be honest, what could have Indie have done without getting dogpiled endlessly? Chaz doesn't have a great track record of telling his army of belligerent weirdos to calm down.

Drama aside, who's willing to bet we're not getting Fire Emblem news in today's direct?

Absolutely nothing especially if you read the comments on Chaz's video where everyone goes "Wow Chaz thoroughly solved everything unlike MANGS. Welcome back Chaz <3". Indie made probably the best decision she could by heeding dondon's advice.

I think we'll get something, the question is what we'll get. I want double Tellius remakes or a new game, but if we get remake I assume it'll be FE6 considering Roy's popularity and FE6 not being officially released in the west and you only remake one game instead of two (As Path of Radiance without Radiant Dawn doesn't feel complete unless they rework Path of Radiance's entire story).

By "what happened" I moreso meant what actually happened in that bed between Mangs and Goose at that con, rather than circumstances surrounding the drama. But you summed up my thoughts on that pretty well. I find the literal treachery from Mangs' friends and the way they conspired against him while using him together to be much more disturbing and abhorrent than Mangs' grinding on some chick in bed.

I doubt we won't get anything. Intelligent Systems finished with that Paper Mario game and are outsourcing the Advance Wars remake to WayForward, so there's really nothing else they could be working on aside from a new IP, which seems unlikely. I think they'd also like capitalize on 3H's popularity while it's still relatively in recent memory. I'm hoping for just a new game rather than a remake, but at this point I think I'll take just about anything FE related lol.

Tbf, there is a sizable amount of doubt against Chaz. Dondon made a pretty good point about Chaz. He talks big about accountability but then rebranded himself and scrubbed anything he could that led back to the events. I've seen some people conflicted on Mekkah's take on Chaz as it doesn't take into account how shallow it is to pretend to be the bigger person by uploading a 2 hour vid that could have been trimmed down to half an hour.

FE4, FE6, and the Tellius games seem to be strong contenders for a remake. If it has to be a remake, I kinda want it to be anything GBA related. I heard rumors of a leak that there's a continuation of 3H but it was from a gaming article so it's about as good as a baseless rumor.

If it's a new game, I hope they don't go overboard with the divine pulse mechanic.

No shit. I caught a few clips of mangs' lp of it but couldn't bring myself to watch more than a minute of each video. It was so shit and overdone. And the new portraits were just horrible, along with the overdone animations. That archer's quiver in the first video made me cringe. It slowed down the animation to an unbearable degree.

I don't think FE4 will be remade tbh. Honestly think Nintendo's too afraid to tarnish the "most beloved" in a lot of their franchises. Huge metroid fan myself, and i highly doubt they'll ever remake super metroid either, as amazing as it'd be to have one with a better grapple beam
