In addition to this, my primary reason for not adopting the vaccinations early is simply the rule "Dont put anything in your body people already havent been for at least ten or so years unless you really need to". This simple risk averse strategy allows you to see it all play out, positive and negative. Alcohol and cigarettes might be bad for you, but we know precisely how and why they are bad for you now because theyve been around enough. So at least consuming them is an informed decision.

The risk/reward made no sense from a non elderly/comorbid position. Why take a potential unknown long term risk for a transient virus that had an outlandish chance of killing you? Well, data keeps rolling in and I feel VERY vindicated in that decision.

It's not that easy even if you own your rig. I run under a lease agreement and my carrier probably wouldn't be happy if I showed up in my rig painted in their livery with all of their information on the door. If things go south it could spell big trouble for them and me.

You just know somebody is out there noting plates and DOT/MC# and unit numbers and shit with an eye to doing you dirty. They have big money and lots of influence too. With all of the new creative ways the FMCSA has invented to hassle drivers over the last decade plus things probably aren't going to work out for you long term.

It's why I don't post photos of my truck online at all anywhere and no other trucker should either.

Things gotta be way more squared away than they are now for me to dip my toes into that. The OOIDA is prevented by anti-trust laws from getting involved in strikes. So I need to know who has got my back legally on this. I ain't gonna lose my house over it despite whatever sympathies for the cause I may have. A trucker version of the NLG or something.

I don't think that would be enough to save my ass from vexatious lawsuits. Some local could come down and peel the painters tape off the side of the truck when I'm sleeping and sue me for honk trauma. I need to know there is a legal warchest to squash that shit.

I don't think some hotshot lawyer is going to want to sleep in my bunk during daylight honking hours.

American society is much more litigious than Canada. Especially if you are getting involved politically in DC. There are forces at play in that city that are far bigger than anything you got going up there. There is some real serious danger here.
