The Left's narrative on the military has shifted over the past five or six years. You got top generals in the US trying to make shit more woke in a bid to land a cushy corporate/administrative position when they retire to civilian life. You have these armed force ads where every other member on screen is some boilerplate college girl/diversity hire, that very infamous commercial from last year with the lesbian moms, logo redesigns with an emphasis on diversity and racial equity, etc.

My brother was in the regiment for most of his college years and he said that each new wave of enlistees came in more coddled, entitled, and physically unfit for duty than the last. There was a particularly bad turnover rate of kids who didn't pass basic training during his junior year. I think the armed forces (or at the very least the ROTC) is lowering its standards (at least in practice) in order to create a mercenary outfit of ideologues who are easily won over with subsidies.

In a way, the Left does continue view the troops as expendable proles with no respect to their intelligence and personhood beyond surface-level gestures, only instead of God-fearing white boys from those filthy flyover states, it's disadvantaged pee-oh-cees the Left pretends to care about. Now that the balance of power has shifted in the Dems' favor, there is a contingent of lefties who make excuses for the military and now view it as an instrument to spread (read: enforce) democracy across the globe because the army now looks like a bowl of Reeses' pieces.

Are people still this retarded? Am I back in 2017? Sure, people spread around a little when things get censored, but has that stopped anything? No, it didn't. They just kept doing it and now it's practically normalized. We don't hear even a fraction of what is getting censored nowadays. People now ignore it and others accept it. People are now growing up ignorant of it all. Perhaps its saving grace is how increasingly pissed off people paying attention are getting, yet so far all that's amounted to are Canadian truckers of all people demanding not power, recompense, or accountability, but just for something that was taken from them to be given back. They have learned nothing, but one can hope when they still get fucked over after all of this, at least a few people will come to accept that this isn't going nearly far enough. But as for comments like this, all I can do is shake my head. They are perfectly aware of the Streisand effect, they just don't care.

Though I suppose it is unrealistic to jump straight to what needs to be done before stunts like this happen, so maybe I should lighten up.

Trucks honking horns was all it took to set this soy boy off and completely lose his shit. These people are absolutely fucked the moment something real happens. Seeing shit like this makes me smile so much when I think back on all their brave talk of "revolution" when Trump offended them by winning an election.

I mean, we all knew this was what they'd do when confronted by even the slightest discomfort, but it's so reassuring to see it in action and be proven right.
