That's what police are for. Using the military for domestic police matters looks very totalitarian and oppressive. The military is NOT designed for policing in Canadian cities. Militaries are designed to kill enemies. You don't call in the military for "

I do hope that the Canadian military would side with the people, and if he asked, I hope this is made public. I want Trudeau to look like a colossal pussy.

Unless the FLQ seized control of Montreal and started executing people in public parks, the local, provincial, and federal police forces had the resources and tools available to track down the cells. I'm very much opposed to domestic military deployment outside of extreme cases like, say, the LA Riots.

The dumb part isn't that it CANT be done (concrete barriers are easy to transport and place, and there's likely a plethora of them). The dumb part is that it would cut all transportation in AND out of the city, which would cripple it even more, considering the truckers would just blockade the barricades.

Not a leaf and have no dog in this fight but those are the two main rail lines from the US West Coast into Canada.

If this were to kick off and the truckers really wanted to disrupt trade / border operations those would be the key locations.

These two locations were in some Burgerland National Response Framework I read and I am sure it's in the Leafs equivalent. Not advocating for it but if they want to start using violence then they should expect some consequences.

People hoping to organize like this need communications. However after all this time and all these alternatives still people are trying to do this stuff on facebook. Why? What is being missed? Sure we can say people are fucking dumb and won't get off facebook, but that doesn't provide any solutions. Facebook manages to corral these people. How do they do it, and more importantly how can someone else do it?

Lol the truckers are the citizens, they've been partying with the cops for a week now, soon to get reinforcements and more party supplies from the military.

The losers are hiding in their pods and whining about it on reddit now.

I'm guessing the Facebook thing was secondary to raise awareness. The truckers themselves are probably spreading it by word of mouth through the CB "network"

I am not Canadian, but the if the truckers face consequences for breaking the law the answer is to break more laws and destroy their own nations rail roads?
