I’d imagine that if the Cons don’t capitalize on this, Mad Max and the PPC will definitely try - and seeing as Max is the only Federal Party Leader to have come out in support of the Truckers, I’d give the PPC better odds of gaining anything from this.

So expect that whenever the next Canadian Election is, the CBC paints the PPC as the White Supremacist Party - especially if Max sticks to his word about defunding them.

Honestly the conservatives should really select Leslyn Lewis to be the next leader. Selecting a black woman just collapses their whole game of calling everything racist.

They already did that last election by not letting Max in on the debates last year. Even in 2019 the NDP and Liberals were screaming about how racist they think the PPC is.

She's also pro-life and was one of the only people to condemn the burning of churches last year, Calling for arrests and saying it was hate crimes.. So she will never be allowed near the leadership of the party.

How is leadership determined in the Cuckservatives? Internal vote to the last two then a membership vote?

I really like Leslyn Lewis, but I think she might be a bit too green for the role (at least at this time). This is her first go at being an MP, and she’s only held her seat for a couple of months. It might be better for her to take some time to learn the system, build up some political capital and work on improving her French. Her pro life position might alienate some voters too.

For now, I think Pierre Poilievre would be the better choice. He’s got a lot more experience in parliament, isn’t afraid to go on the attack, and he’s done a decent job as shadow finance minister.
 
The NPCs have got their marching orders, O'Toole getting btfo has been framed as a good thing for Trudeau (without explanation why) by the New York Times.

Its by a "point" system just like delegates except the calculus is fucked up. Each round of voting drops the lowest supported candidates.

Except what happened last time was that she received the most votes in round 2, but received the least number of points because of how it was allocated, so she was eliminated. The two who continued on had less votes than her, and in one case, fewer points.

Alberta has more conservative seats in Parliament than Quebec, but only assigns 1/3 of the leadership points Quebec does. it would be like if California and New York could determine who the leader of the Republican party is on their own. You end up with a shitty candidate that only appeals to areas the party has no hope of winning.

This obvious detachment from reality would be comical if it was genuinely the result of being tone deaf or just not having his finger on the pulse of his nation's people. It's just depressing though because it isn't. It stems from a direct, open, deep-seeded contempt and sense of superiority and entitlement he feels towards the people of Canada. This fucker absolutely loathes them.

Only an elite with 100% confidence in the security of his power and wealth would have the balls to emit such an openly brazen "lol fuck you" like this. Whether that confidence is justified will be fun to watch play out though.
