I lived in Ottawa until last week. I was supposed to move on Saturday, got the heads up the truckers were coming and got the fuck out on the Thursday before.
Ottawa is an insufferable shithole, that loves huffing its own farts and absolutely thinks it's more culturally important than it is.
They cheered and roared when BLM was marching through the city and spewed hypocritical bullshit about how they were important, all while advocating for businesses to be shut down and for people to be locked in their homes.
Every day the truckers are there is another day I will point and laugh and those insufferable cunts. I hope the trucks are there forever.
The fact that those hypocritical pricks would elect an inept faggot like Watson, then complain he's doing nothing during this protest is proof those assholes deserve what they are getting.

I don't get why the people in that thread are going into (I assume mostly disingenuous since politics causes autism to spike in all of us) hysterics about the Nazi flags and the like. Much like the Summer of Floyd protests, we should all know that there will always be some speds (and people false flagging,*** no pun intended) who come and generally act as speds do; and like the hacks on the Right who were claiming that everyone there was Antifa because some were there, this pearl clutching from the hacks on the Left about Nazi and Confederate flags is laughable. I'll wait for the types of looting and violence that I watched go on south of the border before I feel the urge to have a fear induced shit and act like this is the Siege of Stalingrad or something.

My personal "doomer") opinion despite supporting these trucker protests is that they'll largely do little good in the long run. If recent history has shown us, protests don't mean much if the government and media at large don't support you. When it all blows over it'll then get turned into our "darkest hour" or some bullshit where images of a Terry Fox statue with a Team Canada hat and some stupid signs will be promoted to be akin to an ISIS act of a destruction of a historic site. Get your vaccine or don't, I don't give a shit. Wanting to force someone to do it is extremely gay.
For some reason, the right always has to own its crazies and outliers, while the left just handwaves their own away, and pretends they don't exist. Or, when one of their schizos goes on a shooting spree, they dare say said schizo was really, akshually a conservative nazi. Double standards are the only real standards they have. Everything else, even fact, is flexible upon whatever social hierarchy they currently are a part of.

If they didn't hold a boot to their own necks they'd have no other excuse to be mediocre. Some people wanting to remove said boot and do things themselves undermines the worldview they could have been anything other than bugmen if it weren't for that damn boot.
