Honestly insane to me that the truckers are actively feeding the homeless and they're still being painted some kind of evil organization bent on destroying the government. These chads are doing more than that scumbag government ever will for them.

It's because it's easy to be as idiotic as a redditor, choosing to scream and throw a tantrum, but also spread your ass for Big Daddy Government because it doesn't require any thinking. It's just reacting emotionally to everything, painting people who don't agree with you as the enemy, and hoping your massive childish display of retardation will get you what you want.

Actual adults don't do or think like this. It's a hell of a lot harder to display actual kindness to people - and I don't mean saying someone's faggy pronouns, I mean helping a person in distress or in need - but in the end that's what you'd want someone to do to you if you were in the same position. Blue Collar tends to get this way more than the catturd-smelling Liberals because a lot of us have been in both positions. It's just the right thing to do, even when you don't get anything out of it. But for these cucks, if you don't get instant payback, then it's bullshit. Which only adds to how pathetic their lives are and why they probably only have online friends.

Does Canada even have a working poor anymore?

I see them in small towns, honestly. Especially with the big closure of the Coal Mines because Muh Environment. A lot of people relying on the local food bank. Farmers around me are selling because the heatwave last summer forced them to cull their herd and they can no longer afford their property. I used to pick cans up off the side of the highway as a whatever, but now the ditches are clean because some people legit need the extra cents. Pretty sad sight. It's why I do have a soft spot for anyone who needs food because I don't mind giving away a dozen eggs if it means a neighbour doesn't have to live on tea bags and a can of soup for a meal.

They unironically did it, false flag. The shooter/arsonist was associated with them. He was caught making a massive cash withdrawal in a manner that only RCMP agents are allowed to do, right before the mass casualty event. His front business was as a denturist, but he was actually an arms smuggler associated with certain criminal elements, and the guy who fixed up his car to look like a fake police car was affiliated with Mexican cartels. They say Wortman was an RCMP double agent in the organized crime world or something. Not only that, but in the end they claimed to have had him safely in custody, only to change their mind and say that they shot him dead on sight. He's probably retired on some island with a bunch of suitcases full of cash.
And let me guess: they claim they couldn't have known?

That's feds for ya.

Political enemies need taken out? "We won't rest until those damn dirty lawbreakers are put away!"

Lives are on the line? "HURR DURR DOY DUHH WE HASH A DISHABILOOTIES!"

Non-Albertan here: Is this realistic or optimistic? If Brian Jean were premier, do you think he would drop the covid nonsense?
Had to look up his thoughts on it, but he's against them. He's fine with the vaccine, but is completely against it being forced onto people. He is also against the vaccine passports restricting people from living. Closest thing I found him supporting the mandates is saying his criticism of Kenney opening the province fully back in July leading to a large influx of ICU cases in the hospitals then. Keep in mind though, we as a country, despite all of talk about our healthcare system, do not have enough medical aid in general to support our nation even when you disregard COVID as a factor

Remember, here in the US BLM kept blocking off the freeways and you had DA's saying it was perfectly legal and trying to throw people in jail who pushed through.
I also remember every trucker in existence cheering on the troopers busting heads and hauling them off.

There's a great video of some BLM people getting manhandled by WSP in Seattle and crying that the Mayor of Seattle said cops can't stop their protests. The trooper's response was "we don't care what your mayor says, the interstate is our jurisdiction". You don't block the super-slab. Period. This has been the one thing that has remained consistent through all of the BLM rioting shit. This blocking major highway shit got cleared with the quickness and with full support of the truckers.

This is also fucking over other truckers. Guys who can't afford to play these games. Guys who need to make payments or they lose their house. Guys that are with them in spirit but can't be there because they have bills to pay. Guys who just want to go home until this blows over. It ain't right.

I do agree with you.

And it was nice to see them get booted off of the superslab.

I discovered why the RCMP retreated. So, they had set up some barricades to prevent people from getting to Coutts... and some madlads smashed through them

This is probably really bad but it's also really really funny

EDIT: potat quality video from one of the madlads on a tractor

Canada might not be a free country but these truckers have proven the leadership is too weak to stop them from being free. What good is a law you can't enforce?

Very few if any wreckers are going to turn down the scale of work they are facing. Fat chance they are going to turn down that kind of pay day.
That’s not the issue. Even when the authorities win, they lose, because no amount of resources at this present moment will miraculously allow the contents of the convoy to be delivered to their destinations on time and everyone involved loses money. This strike isn’t gonna be swept under the rug in a matter of weeks. It’ll have long-term logistical consequences which is the point.

I’m starting to wonder if you’re just being a contrarian out of spite.
