If it's Jim being sad and afraid when he got canceraids, as he's sort of implying with the FEAR angle? That is not going to go well. That shit will wreck anyone, it'll just bring out sympathy.
Cancer can really change a man. My step dad was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago. The doctors were able to get the cancer out but every three months he has to go for a health check up to make sure that the cancer isn't back. It is like a sword hangs over both him and my mom. Always losing sleep when the day of the check up comes near, worrying as they wait for the doctor to give them the results. It is terrifying and something that they both have to live with for the rest of their life. Shit, he won't even eat at the restaurants he used to eat at when he was sick for fear that he would jinx his cancer back. Nothing like cancer to make you face your morality. I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Ralph implied in the article that he had DMs of Jim saying he doesn't like the pressure of being famous and maintaining his persona.
Isn't that just being a person? Most people don't like being under the microscope and at some point your views will clash with your audience, like the Covid doomer streams he did which made me stop watching him until recently when he started doing goofy streams again.

Yeah Ralph tries to use being afraid to die against him. Most people are afraid of dying, and most people that say they aren't are either crazy or lying. It's a very natural survival instinct to be afraid of death.

Ralph literally has no one now. No doubt he's drunk himself into a stupor. I imagine some people were in his DMs saying Jim was laughing at him, blood running from his gunt to his face and making a bunch of passive aggressive tweets without even bothering to see if Jim was being malicious or not.

Sucks to be you, dude.

Again I'm no Ralphologist but he sure seems to have an... attenuated survival instinct, to me. It would be fairly logical to think he would then think everyone else does too and is 'just a pussy'.

The other thing is that if you have a cancer scare or whatever, you're not just the only one dealing with it. I had one some years ago, and luckily it wasn't cancer as it would be a really shit type of cancer, but I remember having to tell my parents with one of them breaking down. Up until then it really didn't bother me because I thought I'd get through it, but just having another person in your life dealing with that emotion can really make you feel that mortality. Granted, Ralph doesn't have anyone who'd care about him, so that's probably not something he'd have to worry about.

When Jim started mocking Ralph, doing a silly Ralph impression, I immediately had flashbacks to when he started making fun of Donga, and talking like a native-american caveman. iirc Jim mocking Donga like that was a major spark in Donga's downward spiral, because that's when I recognized that he started lashing out a lot more after that.

In this instance, though, it was WAY more evident that Jim was holding back for one reason or another, until everyone else had their takes on Ralph, and for a fuckin' while, too. It would make sense based on what Jim mentions lately, that he's mostly more into sitting back and enjoying the show, and I'm guessing he knew that poking at Ralph would get him involved in the action, instead of letting him laugh from the sidelines.

In any case, Jim's replies on twitter don't disappoint at all. Even on a playing field of passive-aggressive sniping, you can tell that Jim is having fun with it and Ralph is seething.

I hope this blows up even further, anytime Jim gets into a shouting match it's always a treat to watch. Be a nice note to go out on, if nothing else. Real end of an era moment.

What a crack of a read. I did some screen shots of what I saw while reading TRR...I just found it funny to read about Ethan talking about growing up and being a man...while these are the adds that are running on his site...I mean shit, even the advertisers are trolling him!
