Imagine pretending that having a clear, concise message for optics matters when the articles are already gearing up to paint the truckers as white supremacists because of possible maple feds with Confederate and Nazi flags.

So far it looks like this weekend won't be the last and they're going to occupy the city.

It looks less and less like this is going to be a flash in the pan and more and more like a euromaidan/color revolution moment.

Option A. Truckers win Trudeau out and mandates are ended.

Option B. Negotiations are had so let's say the protesters get a half win maybe Trudeau is axed/thrown out or the mandates end and old drama teacher keeps their job.

Option C. The government cracks down hard. Perhaps martial law and or riot police. This will have a chance of making things worse. If that happens it all goes tits up and everyone loses.

It would be the most short sighted Canadian thing ever to lock up and/or drive away a significant portion of their trucker population. I'm not saying this is like 20% of all Canadian truckers participating, but even 5% of Canadian truckers just disappearing will have major impacts on supplying the country. I almost want this to happen to watch the leafs get blown around by the winds of discontent.

Forcing people who drive a 35 ton vehicle that can go 150+ km/h to flee for their lives or retaliate seems like a really bad idea.
 
So, how many buildings have the truckers burned down? I've seen all this complaining on social media about them, so it has to be like 1000, right?

They've already set up their autonomous zones and had self appointed security murder people, right? Tearing down statues and setting up race segregated facilities?

The vitriol couldn't be because of their politics. The left would never have double standards about how people are allowed to protest after all. Surely they've done all that and more. Right?

I talked to CNN head person today they said "They will stop doing this when Canada takes away their health care for not getting the vax." LOL what?

No he hasn't, the worst that fat little fucker has done is make some bland statement criticizing the protest and calling it to end; it would be headline news otherwise. Notably as well is Kenney hasn't called out the local UCP MLA who's been at the protest with his family against UCP wishes.

Kenney will not implement Bill 1 for this because it torpedos any slim chance he has at holding onto the premiership during his leadership convention in April since the rural Cons won't put up with it. He cannot afford to crack down himself, which makes this all the sweeter because the longer it continues the more likely Kenney is forced to relax restrictions faster than he wants.

LOL, based MLA. His statement was enough for me, declared it illegal and set the stage for enforcement. Moe came out supporting the protest.
I don't want this to be amplified as the voice of Alberta
