I’m not actually all that surprised by how many posts there are from Redditors complaining that the honking has traumatized their cat. These people think substituting having family or meaningful friendships with a pet is somehow virtuous. The jokes write themselves, really.

I don't know how it is in Canada but there is already a severe driver shortage in the US. The government causing more supply chain problem for the whole county because of some honking in a city is a risky move politically.

That my well happen but at the end of the day goods have to be moved by trucks. If they arrest and/or start impounding trucks the cities will start to go dry of goods/resources in a week or so with no one left to do the last leg of every single bit of supply chain .
