Some would, but couldn't.
He won last years election with 33ish% of the popular vote. He is not a popular man. This is how Westminster Democracy works, and is specifically what Jefferson feared when he pushed for the establishment of the electoral college in the US. Canadian politics is a hodge-podge of small groups that work as a uniparty to present the illusion of choice. Whoever gets the most votes wins, regardless of what percentage of the electorate actually voted for them.
This is why when Maxim Bernier was running for leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada (and winning), Andrew Scheer had to turn to the Dairy Cartel of Quebec and register a bunch of frenchmen who never vote conservative as party members so he could take over the party. During his tenure, every single policy he presented was a Trudeau policy with a new name. He then resigned, and O'Toole was crowned king, who's policies are Trudeau policies with different names.
If the people want proper conservative governance, they need to see how O'Toole and Bernie have behaved towards this protest and vote accordingly.
Also, Russel Brand has commented on this, too.

Yes, heaven forbid people find a chance for unity instead of division.
As you said, as long as the protest doesn't stop, no one can nog out. And also keep in mind, the narrative that "extremists" want this to turn into an insurrection is built entirely on ONE guy who said "Fuck it, I want it to be our Jan. 6" on a live stream with his buddies. A guy who isn't on the road and isn't in Ottawa, but was instead blowing off steam with his buddies on the internet.
Yes. Maxim Bernier - People's Party of Canada. Former member of the Conservative Party of Canada and front-runner for party leader until DNC-style skunkworks came into play.
