The whole IT Cert thing is a joke. I've taken those tests before. CompTIA is the company that does all these testings and schooling (if you really want to piss money away) for the certs. A+ is the basic bitch one. Nevermind that you need to take 2 SEPERATE tests in order to get the fucking cert in the first place (and their around $200 EACH, so plus tax, that's about $500 in change, and if you fail, too bad, fuck you, pay up for another chance to take the test), whoever made that tests has no idea what really goes in in the real world.

Last time I took that test, the first immediate question they hit you with is "replace the heads of these wires with new ones, make sure the stuff inside matches the sockets inside the heads". I've been doing Level 1 & 2 IT for half a decade and can tell you that absolutely NO ONE is replacing heads or stripping wires. The IT department either buys ethernet in fucking bulk with different sizes (or they just get one standard gray/blue one) and call it a day. If one breaks, that shit is getting thrown out and replaced immediately, and if more need to be ordered, they do it from the compay's Amazon account. Another question they imediately hit you with is "hey, if by some fucking chance you wind up climbing an electric/phone pole, what wires would you use to connect that box up there to a house?" ONLY person that would need to know this is if you were working in like Verizon or some other cable provider. Then there's useless shit like "how many RPM's does a hard drive make?" or something along those lines.

You can have all the shiny pieces of paper you want, but they won't get you far if either 1. you have no idea wtf you're doing or 2. act like a miserable prick because someone dared to ask you a question. If you have the desire to learn, and help/teach people, that's what counts the most. You even wind up with benefits like connections with other supervisors from other departments or even the higher ups (if they aren't pieces of shit themselves of course).

Literally ANYONE with the will and knowledge of computers can do IT. The problem is that not only is IT one of the most under-appreciated jobs, but the bar is set so fucking high for entry that unless those certs you blew up your debit/credit card for actually work in your favor, the only other way to get in is if you know someone from the inside or do what I did and have a meeting with the IT director to prove my worth as an IT person.

I can second this with my own personal experience with CompTIA exams. I've run into a lot of questions where the answers are the exact opposite of the accepted industry standard.
Opposite to that, the vendor specific exams (like AWS) just serve to advertise their products (e.g. there are questions on the exam about how many god damned 9s there are in their 99.99999999999% uptime SLAs).

I hope that stays in the blindspot or they willfully don't patch that rule because the gov't will stand to recoup some of the money from all of the people who get loan forgiveness. I can't wait to see the salt that comes from the IRS going after them for unpaid taxes.

I've run into one guy who was very proud of himself for joining the vaccine trials they have going on. He was so excited about getting the booster shot, he got it before the trial even told him to get it.

Okay... looks like someone at CNN just fucked up the narrative while trying to do coverage on this call. Natasha Bertrand was the one who put out the statement saying Biden warned Zelensky that Kiev would be "sacked".

Note that she claims that a "senior Ukrainian official" told them about that comment. She then proceeded to delete this post, but fortunately Jack Posobiec had the screens on hand. CNN proceeded to delete a report made by Jake Tapper and Matthew Chance, but once again Posobiec kept his receipts and also reuploaded the video:

White House official Emily Horne then, a bit over an hour after Bertrand made her claims, denied Biden's sacking comment. Her statement was then parroted by Jim Sciutto which leads Posobiec to believe the White House was on the phone with CNN.

The Biden Administration is releasing obviously doctored transcripts to make themselves look better. Wonder f the Ukrainian government drops the actual call or has it "leaked?" I guess the Biden Administration also ordered CNN to spin it like the economic reporting that was making the Biden Administration look bad.

Don't deal with Sicilians when death is on the line, don't do land wars in Asia and don't take phone calls from Ukrainians!

Ok so Biden is obviously so demented he doesn't know where he is but why is the rest of the administration so staggeringly incompetent? Most of these guys have 35+ year professional careers in federal service. What's going on?

It is just amazing how it's a phone call with the Ukraine again, and people won't be stupid and go "well gawrsh, they got the Orange man because of a call to the Yoo-crane, why aren't they sayin' anything about the Ol' Pedo talking to them?"

It also makes it sound like Biden, or whoever was telling him what to say, was acting like a controlling partner in a relationship. "You don't see the Russian troops parachuting in to kill you right now? You're in danger!"
