No. A lot of people hunt in Canada, so there are plenty of hunting rifles or shotguns. Pistols are harder to get in comparison, but even then it's not impossible to acquire as I think that just requires an additional firearm license. Don't quote me on the latter though as I don't have any firearms as I have no patience for hunting or fishing.
