@Gehenna also posited it might be Breyer trying to get the Biden admin to tip their hand as to who they'll replace him with, but given Biden's had a pretty obvious short list of candidates once he specified it'd be a black woman and the options weren't too dissimilar from each other, it's probably this.Nobody. Its an organized psy-op to try and force Breyer to cuck out and resign on the Democrat's schedule.
I can't blame you for either not remembering it, or not seeing it, but House of Cards got really stupid towards the end. The USA electing their own Brezhnev wouldn't be outside of the realm of possibility on that show.House of Cards writers would also reject senile Biden as a serious presidential candidate. They're beholden to plausibility that reality isn't.
The popular vote is the Democrat's first resort of cope. They used it to give Biden a justification to ram through all sorts of progressive shit, they used it to call Trump illegitimate for 4 years, they use it to advocate for abolishing the Senate...View attachment 2923484
This is a new cope they're trying, see he still wins (in the popular vote)!
I can't find it now but there was some broken ass poll done by the dems in FL where it showed Charlie Crist and Nikki Fried both beating Desantis by something like 10 points, but it was a D+30 poll, just something completely laughable just for twitter likes.
5. People like me who took out student loans years ago and paid them off. Wherez mah refunds? There's this phenomena where movements are actually a chimera of multiple similar but distinct movements, and the amalgamation has to take the most extreme stance to stay united.
With the glbt types, you get relatively reasonable "consenting adults in the privacy of their own bedroom" types marching alongside Peter bright "Yes and would you like me to be heteronormative while molesting your child?" types.
Similarly, vegetarians who care about animal suffering have formed a coalition with environmentalists. This is why they can't choose between beef (fewer animals killed, but more global warming) and chicken (better feed to meat conversion rate, but more dead animals) and advocate for relatively ethical meat or baby steps, they have to shut down meat altogether to avoid losing part of their support base.
There's a similar thing in the whole concept of forgiving student debt. There are 4 groups I can identify:
Groups 1&2 are allied against student loan forgiveness, groups 3&4 are in favor of it, but group 4 additionally wants free college.
- You can already see one major division between people who lived within their means and either avoided the loans or avoided college already saying forgiveness would be unfair because if they knew college was going to be free they would have acted differently and either would have gone to college, or would have gone to a more expensive college.
- There is another group of people who took out loans but paid them off, some by taking advantage of the zero interest period. These people would say forgiveness is unfair, because if they knew it was coming they would not have kept up with payments or continued to put down money in the middle of an economic shutdown.
- Then there are the people who completed college and have to deal with their loans. The main beneficiaries of student loan forgiveness.
- And finally there is another group of people who haven't gone to college yet, but they want student loan forgiveness because that's just another step to free college. They can't benefit from student loan forgiveness because they don't have loans, but they've joined in to the similar movement hoping to empower the cause that does benefit them (free college).
- People who are still in college kind of fall under here because they have to worry about future semesters, and forgiving only loans associated with the semesters they've completed would still leave them in debt
Forgiving student loans would piss off groups 1 and 2, satisfy group 3, and leave group 4 out to dry. Is gaining the eternal servitude of group 3 worth the united hatred of groups 1, 2, and 4?
No, group 4 includes all future generations of college students as well. Unless you have short term plans to seize power and lock it in forever, it makes no sense to ever appease group 3 in the short term over group 4 in the long term. If you piss off both at least you get the money, but if you're going to sacrifice the money then you'd better at least make it a good investment and get those fuckers voting for you for centuries to come.
Disbursing money to group 3 may have already happened, but it has not happened for group 4. Even if you can make people forgive the debts already accrued, how will you stop the fallout when the bigger more valuable group of future voters feels betrayed? You'll have to find a way to make free college happen to keep them loyal to you.
And that's a bigger clusterfuck than anyone wants to deal with.
Holy shit, she's directly to threatening to Scalia him!I know it’s still uncertain as to whether or not Breyer is announcing his retirement tomorrow.
I hope he doesn’t. Yeah, yeah, a 7-2 court would be hilarious, and I’d love to see more egg on President Mushbrain’s face…But aside from that, think of how much more satisfying it would be for this dumb bitch’s hired workers to realize that she spoke too soon and have to walk this back.

Biden job approval: 36% approve, 59% disapprove.
Which means 30% disapprove. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't somebody say in the old thread that anything above 25% did not bode well for the Dems? If so,70% of blacks approve of Biden.
OK, I have to give it to the House GOP - that got a chuckle out of me.LMAO

>thinking that the Republi-cucks will do anything remotely accusatory towards the Dems besides the usual "We'll get you, Gadgets!" rhetoricSince all black women are lesbians as told to me by the media, can the republicans find the other woman who the potential SCOTUS pick raped and beat up years ago in highschool/college?
Just put everything they threw at Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh together, change the dates, and use the same attacks.
You're 2, in the "paid off and it's unfair to give others a free ride for that".5. People like me who took out student loans years ago and paid them off. Wherez mah refunds?
They need to accept the reality Biden is legit awfulView attachment 2923484

I would not be surprised, nor would I be if it backfired. The liberal justices have been quite sensitive to political haranguing re them retiring. I firmly believe the reason why RBG didn't retire even as she desiccated into a corpse is because there was so much push from bad actors in the media to have her retire. If she did, she would be playing into a political game—and justices generally don't like to overtly politicize what they consider the last non-political part of the federal government. It ruins their legacy, it casts shade on their judicial history, and it precludes them from being seen as honorable men/women in black robes who only care about lofty ideas. I don't think much of Breyer's recent covid dissents, but I don't think he's a stupid or bad guy. Certainly, not enough to play ball with an obviously coordinated political attack.Nobody. Its an organized psy-op to try and force Breyer to cuck out and resign on the Democrat's schedule.
I think it's not impossible. They needed a way to get Kamala out of the White House. A spot conveniently opens up on the Supreme Court. If you don't think they're at least seriously considering get her out through a nomination, you're dumb. It used to be not uncommon for senators to become Supreme Court justices. Harris is a "black" woman (sort of), so she fulfills that identitarian requirement.
All the pieces are lining up perfectly here. Get ready for Justice Harris to be dispensing law for the next 35 years.

It also ain't Harry Potter or Star Wars...
Did she vote for Biden though? That makes you pretty black, or so I've heard. He promised to nominate a black woman, Hillary is even less likely than Harris is. There ain't enough purse hot sauce in the world for her to pass as black.
I love the inclusion of the lawnmower, as if Ben Garrison was genuinely unsure his audience would understand the field of green spiky objects was a lawn without it.
