Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

So yah, that is done and dusted. There is literally nothing the Democrats can now do to fend off 2022. This was their last gambit, a hope that a bunch of presentations and the risks associated with making Manchin and Sinema go on record would make them change their vote. It failed.

2022 is officially going to be a bloodbath.

They will have much larger issues coming up. Like the fact that every last vestige of a reason to even possibly care about keeping their civil war quiet just died screaming over the course of a month.

Why does that surprise you? Hillary might be a soulless lizard in a skinsuit but at least she doesn't look like a whore out of her depth. Which to say Hillary would probably run this administration better than any of the clowns in power at the moment. It'd not a high bar to clear, mind.

Good. It’s not hyperbole to say that their party and what they’re doing everywhere they’re in office is literally destroying the United States. Every bit of power they lose is an unalloyed benefit to the American people, regardless of their affiliation.
