Apart from the poor arguments and poor reading and it being, well, Jon, ...
Wasn't he meant to be some sort of a marketing genius? Hasn't anyone ever taught him that you're meant to put bullets, graphics, imagery on slides for presentations but not walls of text? Overloaded slides distract from the speaker as they draw the audience towards wanting to read.
You can still have your text in your speaker's notes. That way, if it's for course work, you can even print it alongside the slide in your PDF version.
